As a tour guide it is my goal to show our guests beautiful and interesting locations in the province of South Holland. The South route offers a diverse programme of routes and destinations. Our cycling tours almost always begin and end in the city centre, but surprisingly enough a lot of the routes run along empty country lanes and cycle paths. Our guests are often up early to enjoy a cup of coffee before breakfast. This will give us the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful morning views out over the water. After everyone has enjoyed breakfast, we will prepare for the cycling tour and I will give you tips. After everyone has left I will also get on my bicycle. Along the way I will run into different groups of guests. This allows me to give you information on the area where we are cycling, or interesting tips. If someone has a flat tyre or loses their way, then I am the one they will call. I will cycle to them and provide assistance, or I will give them instructions via the telephone.

In the evening I will give extensive information on the next day’s cycling tour, and we will have the opportunity to enjoy a drink and share our experiences. Occasionally, I organise city walks.

The nice thing about these trips is that we make sure that everything is carefully organised, and the guests are free to cycle their own route and choose when and where they want to stop. Generally, guests spontaneously form their own groups. As a tour guide, I try to be of service to every single guest. I make sure that everyone enjoys themselves, does not get lost and is able to look back on a fantastic week.
