We had a great time cycling from Mantova to Venice. This trip was well worth the price. High points are the location, friendly accommodations, excellent food and great hospitality. Cycling was fairly easy, but not unexpected considering the location along a river. We will consider another trip with Boat Bike Tours in the future.

Our trip from Mantova to Venice on the Ave Maria was fabulous. We met many great people on our adventure. The food was outstanding and our tour guide made the difference from making this from a good holiday to a great holiday. The crew were very friendly and informative. We have recommended this vacation tour to our other friends.

We had a wonderful time. Our two children, ages 9 years and 11 years loved the sites while cycling, especially the stops to swim or visit a museum. The staff on the boat were fantastic. One staff member even took the time to teach the children how to fish! The boat was clean and quiet and the food delicious.

“We sailed aboard the “”Magnifique”” in 2013 (the Amsterdam-region tour) and 2014 (Flanders & Netherlands tour). On each trip, we were treated royally by Captain Walter and his crew; we enjoyed the beautiful and interesting daily bike tours (led by Laia in 2013 and Tom in 2014); and delighted in being part of a small, friendly group of fellow travelers for several days. We have been recommending BoatBike tours to friends and family alike since our 2013 trip — and hope to return for another trip someday soon.”

“From consideration of journey, to booking to paying – all was good as far as planning, organising and payment. We don’t “”bike ‘n barge”” from Brugge to Amsterdam until May 2015 so our comments on the actual experience will follow. So far, so good!”

You have a wonderful product. Your staff is great to email back promptly. However, your way to pay commission is not user friendly.

“We did the Brugge to Brussels trip and would rate it as one of our favorite vacations ever. The staff of the boat was excellent, the food was great and the company was friendly. Although we were one of only 2 American couples, the rest of the passengers did their best to talk with us. We are not “”hard core”” biking enthusiast, but we are in good shape. Belgium is probably the best place in the world to cycle. First there are no hills (the country is below sea level), and second they have hundreds of miles of bike trails. We were almost never riding on a motorway. Most of the other passengers, including ourselves, were in their 50s and 60s. Our only problem was we would stop for lunch and have a few excellent Belgium beers. The riding afterwards was more difficult.”

From the booking experience through to the end of the trip, exceeded expectations. The trip we wanted was fully booked and had no room for us. Their staff helped us find a wonderful alternative which we enjoyed thoroughly. This was our second trip and we will be back for a third trip this summer. We were equipped with enough information to enjoy the sights along the route and could explore at our own pace. The food is wonderful. The cabins are snug but comfortable. Try to pack light and you will be fine. Bikes are suitable for the terrain. Fellow passengers are a treat. Staff is truly interested in you having a good time. Loved it, loved it, loved it.

The holiday was a delight from start to finish. The accommodation, food and the boat were all excellent. All of the staff were extremely friendly, especially the guide. Each day’s cycling was perfectly organised and a full and interesting debrief was given after dinner, the evening before. Two important points: firstly, think about prevailing winds. If the wind is against you in the north part of The Netherlands, cycling becomes very hard work. Secondly, be careful when disembarking boat in town centres in the morning. Cycling commuters and sleepy tourists do not mix well!

This will be my second tour with Boat/ Bike tours. i loved it last year and have brought my friends with me this year. It was well organized and the trails are wonderful. My questions were answered promptly. I look forward to this tour.

A really nice trip on a well run boat. As a visitor from the UK I was made most welcome by the multilingual crew and guide, and enjoyed the whole trip. Whilst travelling alone on this occasion, I found a good sociable atmosphere among fellow passengers as we rode the cycle paths and after, relaxed on the boat. A good value, low stress way of discovering the pleasures of cycle touring in Germany. Recommended for couples, families, or sole travellers. I hope to book again in the future.
