In 2000, the La Mar was converted from a cargo ship into a modern and spacious passenger ship, especially for boat and bike tours in the Netherlands and Belgium. In the winter of 2012/2013 the ship has been completely renovated and since then is operating for Boat Bike Tours. Description of the cabins The La Mar has twelve comfortable guest cabins, situated on the lower deck. Ten twin cabins (10 mΒ² β 108 sq.ft.) with two separate single beds and two twin cabins (8 mΒ² β 86 sq.ft.) with two split level beds. Description of the cabins
The La Mar has twelve comfortable guest cabins, situated on the lower deck. Ten twin cabins (10 mΒ² β 108 sq.ft.) with two separate single beds and two twin cabins (8 mΒ² β 86 sq.ft.) with two split level beds. These twins can also be used as singles by folding up the split level bed. Each cabin has a private shower, toilet and basin. Windows can be opened and the cabins have central heating and air-conditioning. Furthermore, in each cabin you will find a mini safe and hair dryer.
Description of the ship
On the upper deck, there is the air-conditioned lounge, a spacious sitting area with wide screen TV, a cozy bar and a large sundeck. Wi-Fi is available. The sundeck is the ideal place to drink a cup of coffee or an aperitif and to enjoy the scenery while cruising. The meals of excellent quality are served in the air-conditioned dining room, located on the lower deck.

- The crew on the Le Mar were fantastic
The crew on the Le Mar were fantastic. The captain was engaging and very present with hugs all around at the end of the week. Richard was always there with a smile. Joelle created amazing meals and did a superb job with my celiac diet. Mike and John the guides were enthusiastic and careful with their guiding. Madje was the mother of all and made everyone feel special. An amazing week with a great group of passengers as well.

The crew on our barge and the guides were so kind, friendly and helpful. The comfort of the ship and the delicious and abundant food and drink. The relaxed but timely schedule& the beauty of the small towns and the Dutch countryside. Even though we bicycled long distances, there were plenty of coffee/ cafe stops to refresh. I highly recommend Boat Bike Tours for a thoughtfully guided active and relaxing vacation. Such a good value!

I call it grown up camp! The organization is great. Our guides Mary Ann and Mariah were both phenomenal! Marnick our Captain was top notch. Jamie Jo our hostess was always on point.
