Being active, spending time outdoors, discovering new places, and still having real time together as a family: Our family adventure tours combine cycling, boat travel, water, and small-scale adventures into a travel style that works well for different ages and interests.
Everything is organized, without feeling rigid. Each day follows a clear rhythm, but leaves room for personal choices. These trips are designed for families who enjoy traveling together, without needing to plan or share every single moment.
Who are these family tours for?
Our active family adventure tours are designed for families who want to travel together, without everyone having to do exactly the same thing. Different preferences, paces, and needs aren’t a challenge here; they’re part of the concept.
Some may choose a longer cycling route, others a shorter option, or a day to relax onboard. This flexibility is built into the program.
These tours are a great fit for:
- Parents traveling with children or teenagers who enjoy being active, without a tightly scheduled vacation
- Families who like spending time outdoors, without focusing on athletic performance
- Multi-generational groups where flexibility and consideration for one another matter

What does a typical day look like?
Each trip follows a clear daily structure, offering orientation while leaving plenty of freedom within that framework.
A typical day starts with a shared breakfast onboard. After that, guests head out by bike or explore a town or landscape on foot. Depending on the route and mood of the day, there are different cycling options or alternative activities to choose from. Swim stops, often during the boat journey from island to island, are a regular part of the experience.
Once everyone is back onboard, there’s time to rest, read, relax together, or simply enjoy the surroundings.

What makes these trips family-friendly?
It’s not a fixed family program that makes the difference, but the way of traveling itself. Distances are manageable, daily schedules offer choices, and regular breaks, often by (or in) the water, are naturally built in. Experienced tour leaders who are used to traveling with families provide guidance and a safe framework. At the same time, there’s enough freedom for shared moments to develop naturally, without being planned.
Activity level and requirements
These trips are active, but intentionally moderate. Cycling distances are achievable and can be adapted to different needs. Guests can use an e-bike or skip a cycling day if they prefer.
In addition to cycling, swimming and occasional excursions are part of the trip. All activities are optional. No one has to join everything, which helps keep the experience relaxed even when interests within a family differ.

The ship: your home for the week
The ship is more than just a means of transport. It’s a meeting place, a retreat, and a place to unwind. Cabins offer private space, while shared areas on deck invite guests to spend time together. Regular meals create a pleasant daily rhythm and bring everyone together naturally.
