This was our first boat-bike trip and it was everything we imagined. We chose northern Holland because we wanted quiet, nature, small villages, and no crowds or city riding. We loved the mix of wooded paths, dikes, dunes, coastal routes and village roads. Every day was different. Most of the 90 passengers were Dutch or German and over age 60. Only a handful of kids onboard. Evenings were quiet, in the lounge or on the sun deck, and there wasn’t much to do but it’s a canal boat not a cruise ship and we were quite happy with that. Our twin suite was as spacious as a hotel room. Definitely worth paying a little extra. Also splurged on e-bikes because while the routes were mostly flat the winds were something else. Food was tasty and there was lots of it. We missed one port because a storm kept us from crossing the Ijsselmeer but went to a naval museum and submarine in Den Helder instead and were quite happy with our choice. Definitely one of our best bike trips and would recommend highly!

Friendly and helpful staff, good organising, food, company, weather, scenery, safe and quiet paths, everything was perfect.

There wasn’t a single aspect of this trip that did not exceed expectations. The staff were exemplary, the boat was immaculate, the food was varied and tasty and the guides were so resp9nsive to conditions and never showed signs of stress…even when our route had to change dramatically due to the closure of the river. I will be back…I have never felt so well taken care of.

Wonderful tour to Germany and Austria, boat and bike tours are the best, serviceminded tourleader and very good service on board. The biking tours were excellent. Stunning views.

We just completed the Bruges to Amsterdam tour and it was a wonderful experience! The tour guides were very knowledgeable and the captain and the crew of our boat (the Fiep) were great. All of the staff were professional yet were relaxed and personable, which helped to create a fun atmosphere. I would highly recommend this tour!

The extraordinary crew from Captain, chef, housekeeping, guide. All top notch. Comfortable cabin and dining room and deck. A welcoming atmosphere. The camaraderie of the crew was extended to the guests.

“My husband and I booked this tour for ourselves and our children (ages 11 and 14) and have nothing but praise for the crew, guides and the other guests on the ship. Everyone was so welcoming and kind, and it wasn’t long before we felt like we were part of an even bigger family. There was something magical about cycling through the countryside and historic sites, and then coming “”home”” to a great meal surrounded by friends.”

The entire trip from Amsterdam to Brugge was well done! From the crew to the tour guides to the food to the sights along the bike routes and the so much more! We will be booking an entire boat the next time

The attitude and effort of ‘most’ of the help made this a memorably positive trip. The food and attention of most of the support staff was appreciated. Cleanliness was a Positive! I highly recommend Boat’n Bike Tours.

“We really enjoyed our tour from Paris to Montargis with Boat Bike Tours on the barge Fleur. Even though the cabins were small, they were very clean, and each one had an ensuite and enough storage room. The meals were excellent…a good selection for breakfast & the “”make your own”” lunch, and tasty & varied three course dinners. There was always tea, coffee & iced water available. This time we had ebikes which made the cycling so much more enjoyable. They were easy to ride & good quality. I had a flat tyre on the last day, quickly fixed by one of the guides. The guides were friendly & helpful & we visited some very interesting places. Just a couple of downsides…alcohol on board was expensive & the suggested tips should be included in the fare. Otherwise, a very positive experience!”
