The bike trip was very good and the staff was excellent. The meals were delicious and the coffee/tea 24//7 was much appreciated. Things that were different. We deviated a lot from the course planned so that the Ride with GPS was pretty useless. It would have been nice to use it on a day where we wanted to ride on our own. Also, when I first tried to order bikes in the spring, there were only four e bikes available so we didn’t have a chance THEN to obtain one….when we arrived on the boat there were bikes available BUT now they were a lot more expensive to rent. It felt like you should have let us know sooner when bikes were available and offered them at the price in the spring signup. It felt kind of like a scam/ markup ploy. I ended up with a regular bike anyway but I also felt that the regular bike was not as good a quality bike as the ones I used on previous trips. It had less gears and poorer componentry than the bikes I used in the Netherlands and in Belgium. Overall, the trip was wonderful and I will do another one someday! We met such nice people and enhoyed the countryside.

Although this was a self-guided tour, Olga, who was the Tour Guide, did an outstanding job in making sure everyone was comfortable for each ride day. In addition, she rode the routes every day. The Crew was very helpful…especially Ryan with the Bikes and the 2 Staff who did all of the outside work during the voyage. This De Holland was well appointed both in the staterooms and common areas.

The staff were great. Very knowledgeable and fun to ride with. The food was delicious! Size of the boat was perfect! Not too many people but enough to make it interesting. We will return.

The staff for the trip was very good. The ‘barge’ was very nice, the room was bigger and more comfortable than we expected. The food was in our opinion just mediocre, not bad, but certainly not gourmet. On barbecue night, they ran out of rib’s before everyone had some. The bike tour was good, however there was only 2 guides for the 33 guests, which wasn’t enough. The group was usually split into long and short rides, so even with 15 to 20 in a group with 1 guide was too many people. On one ride one of the group was stung by a bee, he immediately began to have swelling, the guide had no emergency kit to deal with him and did not have knowledge about where there may be a pharmacy. Everyday there wasn’t a plan as to where to stop for breaks or for lunch. We had packed lunches from the barge but come lunch time we were told that in order to have a good sit down place (in a restaurant) we would have to buy at least a drink, or we wouldn’t be allowed to use the restroom. Not good planning in our opinion. The tour groups could have used more support, more experienced guides for smaller groups, or some kind of van support they could connect with in an emergency. The bikes were okay, but not good for experienced riders. This wasn’t a bike trip, more a lazy touring ride. The guide for our group several times had to retrace her steps as she wasn’t familiar enough with the route. Not a problem but sometimes frustrating for the group.

Best tour ever!! The staff, tour guides, boat, bikes, organization, biking routes, destinations, food, accommodations, loved everything! Can’t wait to do another bike tour with this company

A great holiday with excellent food, very good service from the crew on the fine ship “Swiss Crown”. Nice bycycling on fine bikes in the beautiful nature along the Danube. Could not be better.

Our guide, Irena made this tour fun, extremely enjoyable, and safe. The rest of the crew, Ricardo, Sylvia, and Irena also made it very enjoyable. The meals were yummy. I might add all the crew were funny, entertaining.

We were greatly thrilled to cycle through such variety of landscapes and villages/cities with our very knowledgeable guides Wil and Esther. We learned a lot about the history, architecture and infrastructure of the Netherlands. Hats of to all the other staff, the chef and Monique especially.

Fred was a fabulous Tour Guide. He took us to so many great places and he made sure it was easy for everyone to follow him. On his own time, he also took us on guided walks in the evening which was so much fun. Great staff on board the Gandalf. Very attentive and great food. Overall Amazing tour. Sights and towns were absolutely gorgeous. Hit some rain but it didn’t damper our tour. It was so nice to get to know the other riders from various countries. Very friendly group of travelers.

Such a great time. Biking was fabulous. Crew was so amazing. Loved all of it.
