SARAH++++Any bike/boat tour is a great experience, this one was especially good because of the people we met, the quality of the staff and the route we took. Our guide Frans was fun, expert, and thoughtful about where he took us in relation to the wind. Thoughts about improvements: in the group was a 12 year old girl who really struggled in the wind with her child sized bike. some recommendation about strength and experience might have helped. The meals were lovely, and fun to share with companions we became good friends with at each meal. The e-bikes were great, certainly for this trip on the flat lands of North Holland. The cabin was exactly as we expected and very easy for us. Even the clothes we washed dried out over two days. We will be back.

Our July trip on the Magnifique III Bruges to Amsterdam was superb. The cycling was very doable even for this 70 year old. Our guides were attentive and knowledgeable. The service on board our barge was “world class” with outstanding meals. Biking through rural areas was peaceful and beautiful, the towns & cities visited were architectural/historical wonders. I highly recommend Boat/Bike tours.

I was looking forward to this adventure from the day I made the reservation. We gave ourselves an extra day to wander the streets of the picturesque village of Enkhuizen. Finding the ship was easy and when we boarded were delighted to find new friends just waiting to be met. The boat was comfortable, food was exceptional and crew courteous and welcoming. Cycling was through varied landscapes of beautiful farm fields stunning coastal seascapes and cool clean forests on bicycle paths and low traffic roads. It was a pleasure taking a break in small villages for coffee, a snack and time to chat with new found friends from different countries. A truly delightful trip.

Well organised. Wonderful crew and guides who were knowledgeable, obliging and caring. Boat in excellent shape. Plenty of nutritious and well presented meals. Bikes kept in good order.

My expectations were exactly as I had imagined. A warm, helpful, genuinely friendly, capable staff. A clean comfortable, beautiful barge. Meals that were satisfying and well presented. The bikes were in perfect condition and the weather and tour perfection! I miss it already and I hope to get to experience it all again. Gloria from USA

Overall we really enjoyed the trip. One suggestion would be to have more activities. There are a few days when we were at port early with nothing to do until dinner. Downtime is great if you are sailing but it was a bit too much downtime. The food and local city guides were good. Staff and cleanliness on the boat was also good.

Wanted to know the approx ages of the people who’d already booked on a particular holiday but they would not divulge the information. All of the other companies do divulge this (it does not affect privacy if they are telling you how many people of each decade are booked on a trip.) I will go elsewhere. Agent ended the chat. How rude!

This was a fantastic trip that I WILL be repeating. The trip exceeded my expectations in every way. • The food was delicious • The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful • The rural scenery was beautiful and most towns were scenic • Rental bikes were well maintained • The cabin was comfortable and efficiently laid out I was on the Magnifique II for the Hanseatic Cities tour. I chose this trip after discussing with the office staff what kind of trip I was looking for (smaller cites or rural areas). AND I thought that the quality of service and friendliness received via phone and email before the trip could not be exceeded. I was wrong: the staff on the boat provided even better service and went out of the way to make this a pleasant trip.

Our experience on the FIEP exceeded our expectations. Everyone, from the captain, sailor, cook, host and guides, was wonderful–welcoming, excellent at what they did, fun loving–just made it an outstanding experience for us. The biking was the perfect challenge, the group was supportive, Belgium and the Netherlands are beautiful beyond description, from the cities, to the forests, to the neighborhoods we cycled through. We will be back.
