It was wonderful. The pilot and entire crew were exceptional. The trip not only met my expectations, it exceeded them

After a year of planning and anticipation, we were excited to arrive in Amsterdam and board our barge. The vessel certainly met our expectations and the meals provided throughout the week were varied and first rate. The Captain and crew were extremely welcoming and attentive to our needs and our tour guide excelled in both her guidance and knowledge of the areas. Would we do another bike/boat vacation? Absolutely!

We had a wonderful week cycling roughly 50km each day in Northern Burgundy and coming ‘home’ each evening to the lovely boat ‘Zwaantje’ and her warm, funny, welcoming and very competent crew. We had two tour guides, professional, knowledgeable, helpful and charming. A tour of Sens cathedral and the inner city was a highlight as were two quite different wine tastings and a cider tasting. Walking tours of the towns where we moored each night were also always most enjoyable. We have no hesitation in recommending this tour.

It was a wonderful experience. The boat was in great shape. Our room was excellent. The crew was allways fun. Good food and drinks. The bikes: could use a tune up and air in the tires. The weather: one bad day out of six. Overall it was a great time and we’ll do it again.

Very fun trip. We chose to use ebikes which were excellent and a guide which added so much to the experience. It was obvious that there were staffing challenges which is a post Covid issue everywhere however the staff they had were courteous and hard working. The food was just OK, the room and bathroom wer clean and had what we needed and I found the bed comfortable. I will do another trip with Boat Bike Tours – it is a great value overall.

A wonderful week—excellent food, very friendly staff. Our only complaint is that the wifi was inconsistent and never made it to our cabin. Overall would highly recommend.

We had a really nice trip. We brought a group of 11 and all had a great time. The crew was very friendly, informative and helpful. Not to mention lots of fun! Enjoyed learning new games to play ( thanks Sander and Robin!!) Our guide, Simon, did a fantastic job!! We learned a lot from him. Such a great way to see the country!!

We went on the Fluvius from Amsterdam to Brugge, and immediately followed with a trip on the Wapen fan Friesland to the outer islands and Friesland. It was our first time and we wouldn’t hesitate to go again with boat bike tours if we get another chance. Ingrid and Andre were wonderful and informative guides on the former and our self guided ride on the latter was well prepared and described by our captain Eric. Cabins were fine, food was excellent and we had many enjoyable encounters with our multi-national shipmates and crew members. We were entertained by our captain Jan on the Fluvius when he brought aboard entertainment one evening. It started with accordion serenades during dinner, followed by a full on party with dancing and song. We also enjoyed that Eric raised the sails on the Wapen several times as we crossed between the islands and mainland.

Fantastic trip with excellent guides. Food on board was fantastic. Great cycling through some very nice roads.

the Flora is a well run boat, but rather small for 20 people. This would result in an unplesant experience if the people on board did not get on together or did not share the same interests i.e. if there were signifigant age gaps.There was not enough space above to escape to your own nook if you needed to. The cabins were also quite small, although we did manage quite well. The boat owners were really good and went out of their way to make it comfortable,
