Our Boat bike down the Danube with SE Tours was exceptional. The crew were fantastic, the cruise stops well planned and organized, welcome and farewell as well as all the prep meetings were well planned and inclusive, the food was excellent and the opportunity to bike with our saddle bags full of a picnic and well laid out routes was sensational. I highly recommend this tour and will definitely do another.

Leslie, cruise guide director, went above and beyond. The routes were well marked out and he informed us ahead of time as to what to expect.
The size of the cabins and the service was excellent. And the scenery and routes were beautiful!

It was a great boat and bike tour. The bikes, rides and guides were fantastic. The Ionian Islands are stunning and we had some amazing swim stops too.
The food and meals on board were excellent. The crew were lovely.
Just a couple of things to note.
1. The room above deck was very small and had we known, we would have stayed before deck and saved some money. We are very tall.
2. The first and last night are spent in Corfu port on the flight path.
I understand why this is the case for the last night but the first night is a waste. Even if we could have moved closer to there old town or into Paxos that day….

The guides were amazing! Bikes were in great condition, and our food on board was terrific. Swimming was an unexpected extra. The common areas in the boat were great but our cabin smelled like diesel fuel during the day. It was not possible to rest in there during our down times due to the smell. That brought the review from a 5 to a 4.

My girlfriend and I have been on Magnifique 1, 2, 3, & 4. On every boat and every trip, the crews, guides, & condition of the boat have been excellent.
Special thanks to guides Ronald and Anne for helping make our recent trip from Metz to Cochem in August 2025 an especially fun trip. My compliments to the entire staff for making some changes to help deal with the unseasonably, near-record HOT weather a few days.
WARNING: After a week of chef Alv’s cuisine, your favorite restaurant back home may seem mediocre and his upbeat personality is highly infectious!!
A SUGGESTION:
Unless you are biking hundreds of kilometers (or miles) EVERY month, renting an e-bike will make the trip more fun for you **AND** the other participants.

The boat on the interior is stunning. You wouldn’t expect that walking up to it. Our room on the third floor was just so lovely with the balcony. The ladies at reception were beyond helpful and kind. The hotel manager had a language barrier and was abrasive, impatient. The cruise director was just down right rude and dismissive. The service staff was outstanding. The crew (how they move those bikes like they do is jaw dropping). The food was just okay. No variety for breakfast or lunch. The wine pairings for dinners were great! I’d like to see more options in the drink package. I’d like to see more scenery on the bike excursions. The last day was what we had been craving for (to Melk).
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the ship, your cabin, and the outstanding service of our reception and crew. We’re sorry to learn about your experience with the cruise director and hotel manager, and we take this seriously. Your comments about the meals, drinks, and excursions are very valuable and will help us improve.

Biking was superb. Food good, but sometimes dull.

Obviously the route is the best thing about the trip. Bruges and Ghent were highlights but the countryside was also spectacular in places.
The accommodation was first rate; we had a main floor cabin.
The bikes were solid upright bikes with a step thru. Possibly not the best in the wind but they appeared well maintained.
With some exceptions the food was okay. They did cater to dietary concerns. Two of the meals are vegetarian. Breakfast was good with eggs every day plus a variety of cereals, pastries and fruit. Bread, meat, cheese and fruit are provided for a bag lunch on the road.
Ride with GPS instructions were included and for the most part were accurate. The staff also provided route guides using the numbering system popular in The Netherlands and Belgium. These directions occasionally and on one day totally deviated from the RWGPS instructions. Be aware of this.
The ride is not supported. 2 guides are riding the route but one is supporting riders who paid extra for for a guided tour. One guide acts as a sweep and can be contacted for bike and route problems by WhatsAp so make sure you have a data plan. As far as I know you cannot reboard the boat until it docks at the end of day so plan for this.
My advice for the days riding to Ghent and Bruges is to make a sprint to get to these cities early so you can spend more time there. Likewise on the day you start in Antwerp, take an hour or so to explore the city. Other days you can dawdle along way.
