Exploring the Netherlands by bike is a wonderful way to visit this country. What a joy it was to meet our boat at the end of a day of cycling. After a delicious dinner, drinks and socialization, we were always offered the option of a guided tour around the community where we were moored. The tour was very well organized. Our boat was clean, and accommodated a group of 19 perfectly. The crew was cheerful, friendly and always ready to help out. Our guide was very knowledgable about the areas we were visiting and went out of her way to share this information with us. Her love of her country was infectious. My only suggestion for improvement is that more attention needs to be paid to upfront bicycle maintenance. Regardless, I am already looking at Boat Bike’s future tour offerings.

Our trip was from Amsterdam to Brugge, 8 days. The crew and bike leaders were excellent – very personable and did a great job. Food was fantastic and the towns and cities we visited on the tour were inspiring. Being on a small boat, you got to know almost everybody, making it much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this tour.

We had a marvelous time on our Boat Bike Tour of Southern Dalmatia! Our guides, Anna, Marko, and Luko, were just wonderful–full of energy, laughter, knowledge, and kindness. They and the entire crew made us feel welcome and at home. The food was excellent (maybe a bit too much of it) and the service was outstanding. The San Snova was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We highly recommend this adventure even for 70 year-olds (you may want to get an e-bike, though).

We were a group of 10 friends on the Passau, Vienna, Budapest cycling trip down the Danube. The whole experience was everything we hoped for and more. The ship was well equipped and comfortable with a lovely sundeck and nice comfortable cabins. We chose a suite with opening windows which I would definitely go for again. The views down the Danube were stunning. Every morning our bikes were taken off the ship and left ready for us to cycle off. We had a mixture of regular and e-bikes in our group and all were well maintained and comfortable. We were provided with saddle bags and a small bag for each bike. A nice choice of packed lunch was prepared freshly for us each morning. Lunch was available on board for anyone choosing not to cycle. The routes were well planned out and picturesque and we had a briefing every day detailing the route and special things to look out for. This was delivered with humour by Leslie, our wonderful cruise director who was extremely knowledgable about the local area and who cycled every day at the back of the whole group to ensure that everyone was ok. Leslie deserves a special mention for his ability to switch roles throughout the whole trip. His professionalism and good humour didn’t go unnoticed. The whole team, from cleaners, kitchen staff, bar staff etc were wonderful. All worked together as a team and ensured a great time for all on board. Special thanks too for the evening entertainment, particularly the piano playing. For anyone who is considering this trip then I would stay you will not be disappointed. Wonderful food in the restaurant, great cycling, not too challenging, lovely places to visit including a day in Budapest and one in Vienna, with the opportunity to go to a concert in the palace there. If I have to criticise anything I would suggest better air conditioning in the dining room and lounge that were at times too warm. Thank you to Boat Bike Tours. We will be back.

4.5 stars We enjoyed our trip on the Princess Royal. The tour guides, Arnie and Corrie, were great. The food was excellent. We lucked out on weather and only had to shorten the bike ride on 2 days by only a couple of miles. Only down side was not a lot of storage in stateroom and soft drinks not part of mealtime.

Boat bike tours what can I say! Fantastic! You were very honest and gave us an opportunity x twice to get our money back as we kept rolling in on during the pandemic but our group of 10 stuck with you and you came good ! A very mixed group of friends and abilities from around the world mainly UK cycling down the Danube!! Two groups of people on board some on historical tours the main group cycling! Mainly German guests and by the second night felt like we had been partying together for ages mainly due to our cruise director Leslie!! Do not know how this man finds the energy or the patience! Switching in an out of a variety of languages and a font of knowledge! He certainly made our holiday and provided the many costumes for pirate and 60’s nights! The beauty being you can join in or sit on deck an watch the world go by with a G&T as you trundle down the Danube! Don’t get me wrong we were blessed with some fantastic weather but that wouldn’t have altered our view too much as the crew location and experience was brilliant! As I must try and put something negative to try and balance my view for anyone reading this ,was our Vienna tour bus having both English and German tour guides both talking at the same time to accommodate both sets of people was very confusing and in the end hadn’t got a clue what was happening! Very easy at my age! But that said I’m sure they will take it on board for next time!! Oh yes there will be a next time! Thanks!

The entire experience was fantastic but special recognition should be given to the wonderful crew. Their patience and positive attitude was amazing. We were surprised at the spacious rooms and the comfortable bikes. And of course, the meals were delicious and varied- kudos to the chefs!

We recently enjoyed the Amsterdam to Bruges boat/bike trip. The trip itself was excellent. Great crew, lovely cycling along flat routes and great scenery. I would recommend this trip. However, the office staff was very difficult to communicate with. A month before our trip I decided to switch to an e-bike due to an injury. I contacted the info email and heard nothing for weeks despite repeated emails. I finally found the name of someone who worked there and got some results but I don’t think this company even looks at the info email. In addition, our trip was cancelled at the last minute due to engine failure. We were notified by email which we received as we were heading to the airport! Contacting us by phone or text message would have been better. They weren’t very useful in helping us find an alternate trip either. I found a new trip myself and luckily there was room on it.

Very fun and interesting tour. Love the small size group. Enjoyed the bicycle rides through the country and small villages.
