The food and staff were amazing on this boat. It felt like a vacation family. Be prepared for tiny rooms with little storage space. One suggestion I would make is to improve the bikes offered, even if it adds to the cost. They were clunky about-town bikes, with some of the gears not functional. The first mate doubled as a sometime bike mechanic, but there should be better bikes and bike support. The plus was that the food was out of this world, packed lunches were provided, and drinks were varied and reasonably priced on board. I also think the bike rides should have faster options and allow people back on board earlier so they can go into town. Often it felt like we were purposely slowed down to avoid getting back to the boat before 4 pm. I would have liked faster rides and more choice time later.

Good tour leaders, barge and accommodations were fine, food was okay, not great

A great experience cycling between Amsterdam and Brugges. Well organized, freindly crew of the Lena Maria, knowledgeable and efficient. Meals were varied and sophisticated. Enjoyed touring the smaller towns and countryside. Many experiences we wouldn’t have otherwise had.

The crew was fantastic. They were gracious and helpful in all ways possible. The chef bent over backwards to accommodate all the different eating choices of the occupants. I suggest offering vegan choices. There are going to be more and more people eating this way. Plus, the chefs try to accommodate the passengers choices anyways. I would suggest to update the pillows, mattresses, and bedding. These items were well used and dingy and uncomfortable.

Low water was a challenge for our route but didn’t have any effect on the fun and enjoyment experienced on our bike/boat cruise from Sens to Paris. The smaller boat hosted just 16 passengers which was great for getting to know the others on the trip and creating new friendships. The crew and our guides were wonderful. We were served a hearty breakfast with plenty of options to build our lunches for the days ride, followed by dinners that were exceptional. This was our 2nd bike/boat excursion and we’re looking forward to cruising with them again in the future. Having a “traveling hotel” makes for a convenient and carefree holiday experience.

Everything about the trip was top notch. The food on the boat was superb and the accommodations were great. Every day of cycling was enjoyable and we were able to tour such beautiful countryside. The crew took very good care of us through the entire trip.

Our boat and bike experience on the Danube was wonderful! The Swiss Crown was the perfect mix of casual and elegance. The food was great, the crew was attentive, fun and accommodating. The bike routes were varied and through beautiful countrysides and small villages. Everything exceeded our expectations!

Thoroughly enjoyed my Boat Bike experience! Booking online was simple and communication from the company was great. The tour itself was a blast. It was well organized and all the details were taken care of. The boat, Lena Maria was a delight to travel on. Clean comfortable rooms, homey lounge area to enjoy time with the other guests. I love that it only holds about 22 passengers, as we all became friends by the end of the trip. The chef, Lars worked miracles in the kitchen. Delicious variety of evening meals. The crew were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We were in great hands. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and ensured that everyone had a safe and enjoyable time. I would highly recommend booking a holiday with Boat Bike Tours!

We recently returned from our second boat/bike trip. We had just as much fun on this trip as our first. The staff on board and guides for biking were the best!! We love that it’s a small group and you get to know everyone. Our meals on the boat were delicious. So many options with biking and travelling on the barge. Something for everyone regardless of your level of biking . We hope to join you again in future.
