Good trip. Nice boat and bikes. Disappointing amount of hidden charges. I thought the advertised amount was all I had to pay but they kept asking for more money for extra things. Even when they accepted that one of the charges fell outside the terms of their small print they demanded it on the boat causing an embarrassing scene. It tarnished my memory slightly.

I would like to see more stops and visits to places. That is really the only issue I had. For example when we finished at the windmills instead of going and doing a windmill tour and having a drink we went to the tours center and we were give 45 minutes on our own to visit the town. All the while we could have stopped sort to the center and actually visited a windmill and toured it. I would love to see 3-5 stops.

From your feedback, I can see that you would like a bit more independency during your tour. We can recommend you to look at our semi guided tours for the next time, should you book another Boat Bike tour with us. During these semi guided tours you will receive a daily briefing from the tour leader. But you cycle on your own, make stops where and when you wish. You cycle with the help of a detailed cycling map, a written route description and GPX-files or the free Boat Bike Tours version of the ‘Ride With GPS’ app for your mobile phone. Our boat/bike tour was excellent from the moment we came aboard. The crew welcomed us warmly, checked us in quickly and made us feel at home. This set the tone for the entire trip. Each staff member made us feel special as they did their jobs with pride and enthusiasm. The stateroom was comfy and cleaned daily. The meals couldn’t have been more delicious. The cycling tours were fun and interesting with expert guidance. Everyone had a ball! Nightly briefings kept us well prepared and excited for the day ahead. Evenings on board were terrific as our group consisted of family and friends we hadn’t seen since our last boat bike tour from Passau to Budapest. Superior service beginning to end. Thank you!

Excellent experience. Francien, the tour guide was the best!! She was extremely knowledgeable about Netherlands history and eagerly shared her expertise at perfectly timed stops —when our bums needed a break or when we were ready for a coffee. The entire trip was interesting and fun.

We just completed the 8-Day Tulip Tour. It was an amazing experience. The entire crew of the Fleur made our trip very special. The guides Mijntje and Michiel were extremely caring and just full of information. Nothing was too much for them. We lucked out and had great weather for the entire trip. The colors of the flowers were magnificent. The pace of the tour was very good. Plenty of time for taking photos. I commend you on the paths that are chosen for this tour. I was concerned at first that we would be in and out of a lot of traffic, but that was not the case. Thank you for a most unforgettable experience.
