We did the bike and barge trip this spring and absolutely loved it. The boat is beautiful and very comfortable accommodations. Our guides Corrie and Andre were attentive to all the guests needs and provided us an amazing bike riding experience. The chef made creative and delicious meals which was a delight for all of us. We especially enjoyed the afternoon treats after our daily rides! Captain Michael and his crew provided a relaxed environment of safety and comfort making our experience very memorable. The crew worked together like a family and always with a smile on their faces. Loved it! Thank you to all for making this tour the highlight of our trip. Oh ya, and lastly the flowers of course did not disappoint and the mojitos creation was an unexpected delight! Highly recommend this experience to all!

We loved our bike and barge trip. Food, crew, cabin , bike and experience were amazing. I’m recommending it to everyone. My only complaint was it rained one afternoon and crew even made sure the customer’s shoes got dried!! ♂️ I want to do another one.

This is a great option to the barge. The crew and tour guide on Mare fan Frysland (sailing vessel) were both friendly and efficient, which is not a common combination. Great food! Roomy and beautiful restored boat, and the basic cabin was plenty roomy for 2 who know how to pack. (The hot tub was a bonus!) Wonderful biking tours. Our guide was very informative as well as pleasant. I’ve done more vigorous, more “cushy,” and more expensive European biking tour with VBT and consider this a better value. I could have used a faster riding pace, maybe more independence, and more sailing, but I believe the bike tours and sail-raising were set for the common-denominator (“weakest-link,” etc) and that was the correct approach for a varied group. We were the 1st group of the season and the boat was not full, which added to the pleasant experience. We were concerned that we were going too early to see flowers and might fight cold weather, but it all turned out well…so I recommend you consider an early booking if you dislike crowds. Be aware that biking in North Holland can mean winds. It added to the challenge in a way that I liked, but not everybody felt that way. (That’s what the E-bike option is for.)

We did the Southern tour of Holland on Boat Bike Tours and had a great time. The ship, the daily routes and staff were great and the daily routes had beautiful scenery. I did have an issue with my bike, the handlebars were loose and would turn left or right , after the ride I told the 2 gentlemen checking the bikes in about the issue and they started working on it. Next morning I went to get my bike and the handlebars were still loose, I told them It was still the same and their response was: We tried to fix it but couldn’t, do you want another bike? I thought that was a little careless, I could have wrecked if I didn’t check the bike again, the replacement bike was fine. Food on the ship ranged from very good to not so good, we laughed at our table also about the different sizes of food we received, some were almost twice as big as others, The biggest disappointment was: water was not included, we had to buy water. We understand paying extra for wine, beer or soft drinks but water should have been included with each meal.

We just did the 5-day tulip Bike and Barge Tour in the Netherlands and it was an AMAZING experience. We are in our early 40s and rented the standard bikes…I would recommend if you’re really fit and are used to biking long distances you’ll be ok but honestly I would probably get the e-bikes next time (almost everyone at this tour had them so you gotta be able to keep up with e-bikes too)…but regardless the bikes are really comfortable! I would highly recommend the Manifique IV…it’s newly renovated, the pictures shown on the website are very accurate. The rooms are a good size, shower worked perfect, which was really nice after a long bike day. The entire barge is gorgeous, with ample seating, really nice bar and the jacuzzi on the top is amazing! The staff was fabulous the food was excellent…you seriously can’t go wrong with this trip. Highly recommend it!

Booking process was first rate. The ship is superb, captain and crew go the extra yard to make sure everything is excellent. Food amazing. Brilliant guide who was very knowledgeable. Guests with age range from 14 to 78 all gelled. Great atmosphere all week.
