Great trip for us as it gave good options for long, short or stay on boat every day. As I’m not a rider and my husband is a keen urban rider it suited us well. We split up for a couple of days and I skipped one do we are both happy. Rides with guides were easy with really flat ground, good paths and our group (the shorter ride group) went along at anything from 13-16kph however October weather did give some stiff winds and quite a bit of drizzle with one day of proper rain. Recommend taking good weather gear that will dry easily (over pants, hat/hooded jacket, gloves, shoe protectors or waterproof shoes) and book an E-bike if at all concerned of your fitness for distance endurance each day/7 days of riding or ability to ride into stiff winds for some distance (although we had lots of breaks and I didn’t use it beyond Eco mode for 90% of the time). Meals were lovely and the Bar (a tab was kept and we paid by credit card at the end) prices reasonable. Cabins cleaned daily and good pressure hot water for end of day clean up ready for early dinners each night and into bed ready for next day. Thoroughly recommend it and you don’t have to be a serious cyclist to have a good holiday. Reasonable fitness and E-bike will get you through!

Our tour guides, Peter and Fred, were outstanding. They went out of their way to offset the windy, wet, and gloomy weather that prevailed on our cruise. The crew of the Magnifique was fantastic. Very welcoming. And we always approached the evening dinner with anticipation of yet another great meal cooked up by chef Johann. Overall, we were very pleased with the way the experience bonded all the guests and crew, creating a most comfortable and rewarding week of boating and biking, despite the less-than-ideal weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent Iron Gates Danube Boat Bike Tour. The staff and crew went out of their way to make everything work, and we enjoyed every minute.

The guides, especially Caterina, were outstanding and extremely knowledgeable. She had to go back quite a long way to look for my iPhone which I had placed in someone else’s bike backpack. Shes a very big asset to your company.

This is the second trip I’ve taken with Bike and Barge. It was a fantastic time. I highly recommend this company and their tours.

The boat/bike experience was exceptional. We did have some communication issues with the booking agency which were eventually resolved. We will be recommending the trip to our friends.

Overall good boat/bike tour. There is a slight disconnect on current information with bike tour booking company and the actual local bike cruise line. Pickup location had changed for the bus pickup due to construction at the train station, and available bike options on the cruise were not current on the website during booking. Booking took place over 9-month period, so it’s understandable that conditions will change. Booking company needs to stay abreast with operators as much as possible. Especially with tour arrival and departures conditions. Overall great tour and appreciate the efforts of biketours.com to consolidate all the various companies that offer local/regional tours in Europe. Will use again for the next bike tour in Europe.
