This is a great trip to experience a bit of Belgium and Dutch culture with some nice scenic riding. The boat is fantastic. Very comfortable, excellent food and great staff. The rides from Amsterdam to Bruges were beautiful along mostly dedicated bike lanes. Couldn’t recommend enough.

We enjoyed this ship and especially the friendly and helpful crew! Hans is an excellent captain! The biking was grand. Visiting many small villages was a highlight. Our bike guide, Patrick, was outstanding. I highly recommend this bike trip!

We can’t say enough good things about our recent “Best of Holland” trip with Boat Bike Tours. Our barge was the Magnifique II, a beautiful vessel built in 2016. It oozed charm and comfort – both in the individual staterooms and in the communal lounge and dining area. The food was excellent. The staff were superb – from the dishwasher to the captain. The bike routes were excellent – varied terrain and lots of photo ops. We biked with a tour guide several days and really enjoyed that. But we were also pleased with the ability to head off on our own some days with the help of the excellent maps that were provided. The bikes themselves were in good condition. All in all, a 5 star rating.

Top notch staff, wonderful food, updated boat with super-comfy bed. You will see much of the countryside and all of the iconic features of the area. There is no time for exploring cities or going to museums, so that sort of thing would be a different trip. Plans can change if locks are out of service or docks are not available for some reason. Ebikes make for a nice ride even in the wind.

Although boatbiketours.com had some issues with billing and some computer glitches, they did communicate quickly and resolved all our issues. With 12 others, we booked a bike and barge trip on the Mosel River, From Cochem Germany to Metz France on the Quo Vadis. The trip was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful scenery and great biking. Our captain/owner, his family, our bike guides, the cook,and all the crew were amazing. So very helpful and friendly, and knowledgeable about what we were seeing and experiencing. I would easily look for a trip where Ferry and John, our bike guides, would be working. I feel like they went out of their way to make it a memorable experience. The barge was so clean and beautiful, felt like luxury to me. Exceeded my expectations. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were air conditioned, which was necessary since the days were pretty warm. Each sleeping room had its own bathroom with shower and we never ran out of hot water. The meals were more than I could ask for. Dinners were gourmet standard. I would definitely suggest a trip on the Quo Vadis and also the Mosel River trip. The only wish I had is that I had had a smaller bike. I’m only 5’2” and their small size bike was still a bit big for me. Could also have used a little lower gearing for climbing hills, although there was only one day where it would have come in handy.

The boat that was my home for a week of boat/bike tour from Passau, Germany to Vienna, Austria, broke! The name of the boat that broke was called Arlene ll. So we had to hotel hop, pack and unpack our bag every day. It was hassle, stressful and made for a totally different trip. Our guide for the week was absent and not available for the entire week. We did not have daily briefings. We missed a lot of details, sights and previously scheduled events due to the confusion of hotel hopping, no briefing communication. Every hotel we stayed at served pork and potatoes for dinner, same meal for a week. It was unfortunate. I know it was not boat/bike fault for the boat breaking. A back up boat would of been a great option to have available to still experience what we all paid for. The Danube tour will always have a “hitch” in my memory. If your boat works, I am sure you will have a fabulous time!!

Very enjoyable, great crew, fine dining. The scenery is amazing, what a great way to see the countryside. The rides were not strenuous and one of our guides filled us in on the history of the area. Our cabin was nice but we did have plumbing problems in the bathroom that needed attention during the trip.

We had an awesome time on our boat bike holiday. The accommodations and meals were excellent. The staff were extremely organized and the cycling with tours was better than expected. Hans and Corrie were a pleasure to ride with !! “Let’s Ride” We look forward to returning to Boat Bike tours in the future . Gary&Marilyn Petrovsky
