Amsterdam to Maastricht. Just the right size, only 20 spots available. Food was good and cabins were nice enough, but as the Captain said, they need air conditioning. The fan was sufficient. The smell of diesel fuel was always present. The seats on the bikes were so large and hard that several ladies had to stay on the boat for the fourth day due to blisters and I was sore for a month and a half after the trip. I am used to a bike seat that has a groove down the middle and is thin. These seats were like riding on a baseball bat. Tour guide was great. It would have been five stars except for the seats and the diesel smell.

The company did everything they said they would and were very helpful in planning and supporting our trip.

The holiday was brilliant. The sailing ship was very clean and comfortable. The crew looked after to guests as a team. Always helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. The only problem we had was that my wife’s e bike was to big. She is 5ft 2. All the bikes were the same size, rather large. She could not touch the ground with both feet. Apart from this would recommend the holiday

We are a family of 3, we had a 8 days tour in the IJsselmeer sea on the boat Elizabeth . The tour was very well organised, crews are very helpful and easy going. Unexpectedly, the food on cruise was very good ! Cooking in movement is not easy, but our chef Peter has made it well ! So thank you Juana, Vicent, Peter and Alwin for having let us a very happy holiday .

The trip itself was great. Loved the guide and the crew. The issue that I have with the trip is that the business office for Boat Bike Tours is dysfunctional. We got numerous emails about non-payment even after going through several rounds of proving we had paid. The people in the business office were completely unhelpful in resolving the issues we had. Essentially everyone on our boat had the same issues so our experience was also the experience of others. It is too bad because the trip itself was really great.

This was a very enjoyable tour with an efficient and comfortable boat, good quality bicycles, a varied and interesting group of fellow travellers and a very competent, friendly and helpful crew. Our Captain led his team with easy efficiency, our Steward looked after all our on-board needs with care and a ready smile, our Chef provided tasty and interesting meals with plenty of variety and our cycling Tour Leader really made the whole experience with her happy disposition and her efficiency in navigating, fixing mechanical problems and looking after our safety.

Had a great trip! My siblings and I started planning this trip over a year ago. It was a trip in memory of our Dutch- Canadian parents whom we lost almost 2 years ago only 4 days apart. We wanted to see Holland the way they saw it: on bicycles! There were several times on our trip one of us would say mom or dad would have loved this. My planning for this trip had far more components as you will see in this review. Our chef at the start of the trip was far superior in talent when preparing our food. There could be improvement expediting breakfast and lunch. There were several days were some people had no variety / option of breakfast as many people were taking breakfast and lunch items at the same time. Mother Nature was on our side for the week providing warm weather and little rain. A cyclists dream. However there were days that the heat was so extreme and it became extremely uncomfortable in the NON air conditioned dining room and several people had to leave during dinners. On the other hand our guides did compensate for this weather and made more frequent water stops during the day to prevent dehydration. Like many couples I love cycling and my husband is not so keen with cycling. Not sure if possible in future to think about having more time for “stopping and smelling the roses” longer and tiny bit slower for those whose forte is not cycling but want to be with their spouse. When everyone else walked about the towns I just used my Handcycle. I had fully planned on using my Wheelchair buddies to haul my wheelchair with me. There were a couple of places where I needed a wheelchair and low and behold one appeared? To be honest my Handcycle has better shock absorber wheels than my wheelchair on cobblestones More than pleased with the boat. I had requested to bring my Handcycle with me as I was not able to find anywhere to rent one in Holland. That being said I guess I totally forgot to tell Boat Bike that I use a wheelchair. Was fully expecting to use my crutches throughout the week but relieved to be able to use my wheelchair all week. Staff even attempted to make a small ramp for me when getting from stern deck to bar. It was about a 2-3” jump. Most days I could do the jump on my own. Ramp still needs tweaking. Was tickled pink they tried. We had room #6 on Magnifique III. The door is wider and very easy to enter with my wheelchair. I also brought my own shower chair. I am able to walk a little so using the bathroom was not a problem for me. With a few modifications to this particular room you could actually call it ambulatory accessible. Putting a folding wall shower chair in the shower along with a couple of grab bars. As well adding a grab bar near the toilet area would make it more comfortable for someone with my level of ability. Overall I had a fabulous week cycling with my siblings and extended family and friends and newly acquired friends from the boat! One more thing checked off my bucket list!

The cycling was good. Good bikes. Nice scenery. Appropriate level of difficulty except some less experienced cyclists had difficulty in traffic circles. The dinners were inconsistent. Some were fabulous and a few were inedible. A greater wine selection would be good. The rooms were okay but the smell of mold was a problem. Also the beds were too short for people over 180cm.

From the first point of contact to the last good bye, the staff, the meals, the biking and overall experience was excellent! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly plus accommodating for any special needs that we had! Thanks for the fantastic trip!

Great experience supported by great people. Experience wil be repeated and we recommend it to our friends.
