Even if you have been on a river cruise before, you will discover that biking the country leads to a far more lasting experience. With e-bikes, only moderate fitness is required to participate. The routes varied from farms, forests, villages, and cities. We saw it all! Boat Bike Tours planned the routes to perfection. The guides were excellent. They were knowledgeable and managed the bicycling with confidence. They made sure we understood the rules of the road. The LaMar was a comfortable ship and easily accommodated the group. First-class meals, sailing, and service – with no buses. We had so much fun and are looking forward to another adventure next year!

This was our 3rd bike tour with boat bike. first 2 were in the Netherlands, this one was in Croatia with a partner of Boat Bike called island hopping. What i liked: – Food was terrific – Boat was excellent – Afternoon sails were very enjoyable What could be better – Maintenance of bikes was not good. We were a group of 32 people who all new each other. On the first day of biking there were numerous issues with the bikes – underinflated tires, wobbly tires, Batteries not fully charged causing some to pedal E bikes with no E, Seats that wouldnt stay in place, someones pedal fell off. – each day the biking seemed rushed. Instead of stopping alot to enjoy the terrific scenery – it felt like a rush to complete the biking – on day 2, people got lost. Not enough corners were placed. too many times people came to a fork in the road with no clear direction – the main person working the bar did not seem that happy/friendly. Each time i asked for a cup of ice or a drink, it felt like i was bothering him. I ended up buying my own ice than deal with him. – Last day of biking was down right dangerous. We left Trogir and crossed a bridge to another island. Road was poor quality and full of traffic. Someone fell and nearly got run over. This day was not even on the agenda – Our boat followed another boat each day. So instead of our boat coming into port each day by ourselves, we always had another boat pull up next to us. An extra 30 bikers. Also was noisy having another boat tied up to us at all times. – Tour guides were OK but when asked what we were going to do each day, they would not tell us anything in advance – very strange compared to my first 2 trips with Boat and Bike. our first 2 trips with Boat Bike were excellent. This one felt like a different company with a different approach and attention to detail. If this was my first boat bike tour i probably would not have done another. I will stick with tours operated by boat bike themselves and not a partner

I call it grown up camp! The organization is great. Our guides Mary Ann and Mariah were both phenomenal! Marnick our Captain was top notch. Jamie Jo our hostess was always on point. Tomek the sailor got it done! And Joell, the chef, made every single meal magnificent! We recommend BoatBikeTours to everyone who will listen.

Such a fantastic and well-run excursion that we just signed up with Boat and Bike for another tour next fall! Everything met or exceeded expectations. This is a quality organization that cares about its’ clients.

The ship and accommodations were very well maintained, clean and comfortable; the crew and tour guides were all excellent – knowledgable, considerate, experienced and fun.

This was our fourth tour with this Company. We had a really good, experienced Guide with deep knowledge of the history, culture, food drink and geography of Sicily and the Aeolian Islands. Everything was really professional and the groups are nice and small and friendly. 5 stars.

Great biking adventure Wine was far too expensive by the bottle and unavailable by the glass. I would have really enjoyed a glass of wine with meals or in the evening but 30-45 euros was a deterrent and impacted enjoyment of the whole experience Tour guides were wonderful Ebikes were really good Regular bikes were not so good according to those that ride them Coffee should be available anytime on a self serve basis like we had last year on the Fluvius. Having to wait until 7:30 for coffee was frustrating for those that woke early Coffee and tea after lunch and dinner would be appreciated Meat portions were mostly too large and it is a shame to waste so much food. Menus written on the board before the meals would give us an idea of what was coming and how much to eat of the first portion of the meal. Butter with each meal would help. I would have liked more of a variety of breads, pastry, croissants for breakfast with opportunity to toast them The bartender/ food server was very cranky and not friendly and rude at times Some small tables and chairs to sit at in the sun would be a good addition

We loved the boat and biking. Croatia was beautiful. Our cycling guides, Serge and Eddy were fantastic. The chef on the Romantica was also great and so were most of the staff. Unfortunately, the bartender/server (Zlatco). Definitely not the correct spelling was just awful. He was rude, uncooperative and made the bar and meal time very disappointing. The last night he closed the bar early while we were all enjoying ourselves and one of the other staff came and opened it up again. The captain was surly and not at all friendly. We were on the Fluviois last year and everyone was so friendly so it was very disappointing. Thankfully, we had a terrific group of passengers so we had a wonderful time and as I said, the biking guides were wonderful. The cost of the wine was too expensive and you couldn’t buy just a glass. We all felt we were being ripped off at 30,00, 35,00 and 40,00 euros a bottle and we were not allowed to bring in our own wine.
