Enjoyable Cycling Holiday Enjoyed the trip. The barge was well appointed and the cabin’s quite spacious. The food was very good, especially the international menus, and catered for all tastes. Although I found some of the longer trips taxing, I completed them all with relatively few aches and pains.

We participated in an 8-day, 7-night bike&boat tour from Bruges to Amsterdam. We live in Brookline, USA and for us, it was a second European bike tour and we give this tour an all-star rating. * The Tour The tour design was excellent and the scenery was breathtaking. We cycled through many picturesque roads, villages, and towns each day. * The Guides Gijsbert Valstar and Mijntje (MaryAnne) Janssen Steenberg provided excellent care, planning, instructing, and guidance throughout the tour. * The Boat, Crew, and Food We liked everything related to the boat (Magnifique) accommodation. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and large enough for two people and four large pieces of luggage, which we had. The dining room large and comfortable for meals, meetings, and resting. The captain and stewards were very friendly and helpful. The food for breakfasts and lunches was abundant, fresh, tasty, nutritious and varied from day to day. The dinner menu was exquisite, exciting, and tasty. * The Group We enjoyed the company of the very international group of 30 people, ages 59-74, from 4 countries: Australia, Canada, Ireland, and the USA. While we were pedaling regular bikes, many others, if not most, used e-bikes and were pretty happy with the latter. The tour operator provided bikes, batteries, helmets, and bike side bags. The bikes and side bags were very comfortable, and the batteries were easy to use and provided adequate power, based on the feedback we heard from the group members who used them.

Our trip was fabulous! We did the tour from Brugge to Amsterdam from Sept.1-8th /18.The tour guides were so good keeping us all together safely while cycling through the most beautiful countryside and cities in the world.The barge was clean and the rooms were small but so efficient and so great to have our own bathrooms.Food was second to none,4 course meal every night which was always delicious.Serving staff were polite and Just wanted to give us the best experience.Sweet young man Stefan answerered or asked a question with “my lady “so endearing.

Excellent, we would certainly do another tour with this company, great food, great people and the scenery could not be beat, our guides were knowledgeable and helpful.

The tour was great highly recommend and the tour guides and boat was excellent. However the confusion with the booking was totally disorganized and confusing. If Bike Boat Tours could get their act together on their reservation and payment part; the whole tour would have been perfect.

Great crew, amazing food, super polite staff. Cruise director needs to be more organized and exercise more tact and patience. Ship needs to declare and delineate more clearly, the role of the cruise director, as she often fielded questions which should had been addressed by the captain. Not a good communicator.

Our trip was great, as usual but our guide was not the best, unfortunately. The guide couldn’t help it, he was put on this route as a last minute replacement, so he didn’t know this route and was very difficult as there are no sign posts on the little back country roads in France. The food and the atmosphere on the boat was great. Love those trip, done 3 now and more to follow for sure!
