We had a wonderful time, but I would say this is not something for beginners. The cycling distances were much more difficult than we thought they would be, but once we chose to settle in to the shorter distances of 30 to 40 km per day is was more comfortable…but still challenging :) Overall a lot of fun was had by everyone on board.

Boat Bike Tours exceeded my expectations! We had a very comfortable room with plenty of space, and in-room bath, storage, and a television for our week’s voyage. The food was outstanding- breakfast was full of choices and we made our own lunches and dinner was surprising inventive and delicious. Wait staff were great. The tour leaders on our tour, Peter Verstraeten and Janneke Reitberg, were simply lovely people. We had many conversations with each of them and I felt totally supported on rides. I also felt that the others on the crew were very welcoming and nice. The bike tech woman Nicolette was a delight! ( I didn’t get her last name) I’ve already recommended to at least 10 people to take your tours because we had such a nice time on the boat and on the bicycle rides. Holland is a beautiful country and I hope we can return again to either Holland or any of the other countries that you do tours in because now I believe this is the way to travel! Having your own floating hotel with all the amenities added to seeing the places up close and personal on a bicycle. Doesn’t get any better than that.

I think the Allure dining room was too small. The bikes, the staff and the guide was great. I would have liked appetizers every night before dinner.

We booked a 7 night boat/bike tour on the Danube starting May 5th which started and finished in Passau with a one day rest day in Vienna. Boat Bike Tours answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly even though we didn’t contact them until March when most of the Danube trips were already sold out. I had special requirements for a small bike and they made sure i was accommodated. Even with the time difference between Holland and Denver, CO, I was able to get almost all questions answered quickly online. The Theodor Korner is an older ship, but recently remodeled and plenty adequate for our needs. The food was good and plentiful and the cruise director was very amenable and helpful. We had a delightful week.

The food was very good, the staff very helpful and friendly, and overall, this was a great value for the money. This is not a “luxury” experience – cabins are very tight spaces, and the biking is relatively short distances (roughly 18 – 32 miles per day), but we were looking for something low key to do with a group of friends, and didn’t want a high-pressure trip. We always had time to stop for photos, tour mills, walk through little towns, and, in this case, “smell the tulips!” I came home thoroughly relaxed but also feeling fit and healthy. Youngsters, take note: this is for the over 50 crowd! Loved it!

I finished the Frisian sea tour a few days ago. I had such a wonderful trip. The staff were fantastic, very helpful and efficient but easy going as well. Flores, Tabije and Heelke I don’t know how to spell your names but you took care of me every moment and to such a high standard. Super Bedankt! Felix looks young and fresh faced but he sure knows how to deliver delicious, great looking food that packs a punch on flavour. All from a tiny kitchen. My one negative was the price charged onboard for wine. The boat is gorgeous I loved helping with the sailing and sitting in the jacuzzi watching the world float by. The bikes were good and the maps excellent. I enjoyed the variety of scenery on this tour. For me the length of cycling was good not too much or too little allowing you you work off the excellent dinners but have time to stop at sights along the way. When I get home to Australia I will be saving for my next one

A great introduction to bike tripping for the new or reluctant cyclist. Ship was comfortable and clean with basic but not posh amenities. Food was good, not great, with little variety at breakfast . This trip was not about the food or entertainment, however. It was about bike touring the Dutch countyside. Bikes were of good quality, nearly new, with comfy seats. Routes were well planned, with options for shorter rides as needed. Pre tour briefings were very helpful if a bit confusing at times. Tips and tour highlights were greatly appreciated. Aside from so so breakfast, only downside to ship was smokers in pretty much every outdoor area, making deck impossible to enjoy. Staff should set up a clearly marked smoking zone at the back of the top deck.

We did the Bordeaux boat-bike tour, through wine countryside. Bikes were well maintained, and very glad to use the e-bike option. Guides were knowledgeable. Maps were helpful. Enjoyed the routes, and the options that were laid out. Crew was friendly. Good meals.

Tour guides Francine & Ellsa were outstanding,.. knowledgeable , friendly, went out of their way to help!! Barge was kept immaculately clean.. bikes were very comfortable & well maintained!! Delicious meals cooked with local ingredients!! Gave a 4 cuz almost daily there were power issues!!!( fixed quickly)
