The tour guide was very knowledgable, the bikes were suitable, and routes were interesting. Having maps as well as written directions was helpful. The food was good and the staff was friendly.

My husband and I, as well as our four adult children, with their partners, and also our 11 month old grand daughter just returned from an absolutely fabulous week on the Fiep. I woke up this morning wishing I was still there!! We all had such an amazing time. Although the weather was not perfect we had such an enjoyable time biking. The crew of the Fiep could not have been better…so kind, helpful (getting baby stuff) and such delicious, ample food! After a week of spending time with Karen you felt like she was a dear friend. We hated to leave her. I would highly+++++ recommend this boat/crew/bike trip (five stars are not enough). We’re already thinking of our next trip…for sure on the Fiep.

Tom was a gracious tour guide and the food was excellent on the boat. All the boat personnel were helpful. Highly recommend the Manufique 2.

Astoundingly wonderful boat — far exceeded expectations. Fantastic chef – meals make or break any trip! Our guide Tom was incredibly erudite and interesting — funny without being silly, and always informative and helpful. the ONLY thing I would suggest is that the bikes are “so-so”, although by no means unacceptable.

Great way to see the Netherlands. The Boat and Bike Southern tour was full of variety and surprises. Loved it !

We were on the Gandolf on the Hanseatic Tour and would recommended this tour highly. Hans the captain and his staff were friendly and accommodating and the guide Rikko, one the best we have had on any of our barge bike tours with this company. You get to cope with the small cabins and limited shower time. The food, a different country theme each night, was lovely, and always a snack and cuppa to come home to in the afternoon. Easy riding bikes and good distances each day with plenty of breaks for sightseeing and time for morning coffee and lunch at interesting places.

The captain, guide, and crew were above expectations by a great deal. My wife and I were positively surprised with the barge (Gandalf) and the route (Hanseatic Tour). The captain and guide had to make significant adjustments due to weather but crafted an alternative that was excellent. They accommodated each guest’s needs and provided support where needed. We have already recommended this trip to several friends who are recreational bikers.

Everything about this trip was top notch. The boat (including the bed rooms) was in excellent shape and very clean. The food served on board was always delicious and presented nicely. The crew were very professional and friendly, taking care of every detail. The tour guide was amazing, definitely going above and beyond every day. The bikes were high quality, with only a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved during 6 days of biking. We did not receive any incentive to provide this review and we would definitely recommend Boatbike Tours to anyone contemplating this type of vacation.

Great itinerary and quit affordable. If you want to be pampered with a van following you around if you get tired and picnic lunches prepared for you, this is not the trip to take. This is for the more adventurous who want to have more freedom during the day to enjoy yourself as you would like to
