Mein Mann und ich haben im Sommer 2019 die Tour durch Nord Holland auf dem Schiff De Holland gemacht und waren sehr zufrieden. Reiseleitung (Peter) und Hotelmanager (Roman) waren freundlich und standen jederzeit für Fragen zur Verfügung. Die Kabinen auf dem Schiff waren zwar eng, aber es gab genügend Stauraum und alles war picobello sauber. Das Frühstücksbüffet war reichhaltig mit verschiedenen Sorten Brot und Brötchen, Frühstücksflocken, Obst und Gemüserohkost, Rührei und Würstchen, Saft, Kaffee, Tee und verschiedenen Brotaufstrichen. Zum Abendessen gab es ein vier Gänge Menü mit jeweils einem Fleisch- oder Fischgericht als Hauptgang zur Auswahl. Hier hätten wir uns an manchen Tagen nach 50 km auf dem Rad eine größere Portion gewünscht. Schön wären auch regionale Gerichte gewesen oder wenigstens Fisch aus der Nordsee anstatt Zuchtfische von der Südhalbkugel. Aber das waren nur Kleinigkeiten und es war insgesamt eine schöne Reise.

Several years ago we had been on this trip and loved it. This time we brought our family (son, daughter-in-law and four grandsons) and they all loved it also! The ship has been refurbished with fewer cabins so they are larger and there are fewer passengers. The rooms were air conditioned, had plenty of storage, plenty of outlets, and were pretty sound proof. The bathrooms were really nice. The dining room was roomy. The food was excellent ever night and this time we picked our menu. The tour guide, Peter, was the best we have encountered. We had a few mechanicals issues and he promptly addressed them with concern. The boat manager, Roman, was extremely upbeat, funny, and talented. We all enjoyed his antics. The staff was excellent. All the bike trips were explained and were through lovely parts of the country – tons of pastures, fields, farm animals and birds. The villages were quite charming. We are glad we returned and had even a better time!

This was our tenth boat and bike trip in Europe and without doubt one of the best. On this occasion we travelled from Montargis to Paris on the Fleur. It is an excellent boat with comfortable air-conditioned cabins and nicely appointed lounge and dining areas. During mid-summer the advantage of having an air-conditioned cabin should not underestimated. On this trip the crew and guides were outstanding. Meals were imaginative anjd delicious reflecting the cuisine of the region we travelled through. The crew and guides dealt with the inevitable challenges that occur during a tour (eg a passenger experiencing a serious injury) in a professional and supportive manner. In fact, they went well beyond what might have been expected. There was an excellent rapport between crew, guides and passengers making this an outstanding trip in every respect.

Excellent tour. The guide was exceptionel, very knowledgeable and friendly. Took care of everyone . The crew did there utmost for all the people onboard. It was a well planned tour, it can be recommended.

Fantastic way to see French countryside and towns. Very comfortable and very clean barge and great, friendly and knowledgeable crew. Bikes were well maintained. We had a fantastic time and would recommend to others – we will do another one!

Moselle River on the Patria. The scenery was breathtaking and the riding flat and easy. The towns where we stayed overnight were wonderful. Accommodations were pretty good for the limited space. The food – especially the dinners – were exceptional. The only improvements I would suggest is to have drinking water available without having to pay 3.50 euros for a bottle, and to include the cost of bike insurance in the bike rental price. Would definitely recommend this Boat Bike Tour.

Our cruise along the Danube was fantastic! The ship was comfortable (even though the cabins are rather small, but they are cabins!), the crew and all the staff were efficient, smiling and kind. I had a special meal every day as I was the only vegan on board. We enjoyed the rides, which were extremely clearly explained by Andreas, not too difficult or too long. Andreas gave us useful tips on where to go, what to visit, where to stop. I strongly recommend a tour on this boat, really a five-star holiday for me!

We were disappointed in the unfinished quality of the room. I was injured by a toilet paper holder that fell off the wall and was only fixed when I found a carpenter working in the hall and asked him to fix it, after having mentioned it twice to the purser. The cabin air conditioning did not work we also told them about this. The lights in the salon were flickering constantly due to bad power at each meal. There was little information provided about the different sights and locales. We were hoping to be provided with much more support in that area. Instructions were vague for tours about each area. Perhaps there was more provided to the german guests, but the english speaking guests were left in the dark. The bikes were in great condition and Robb was fantastic at making sure all was in working order. Food service was very accommodating for dietary differences, although there was little variety in breakfast and lunch choices.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Good guides, excellent meals and fun company. This was my third boat/bike tour and I have enjoyed them all. Manitoba to Venice, Aigues Mortes to Avignon and this one. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and FUN! I highly recommend this last tour. The others too!!!

This really is the best way to see a country. The crew and guides on the Magnifique were helpful, friendly and experienced. Our cabins were good and it was great to come back to a three course meal each day. The cycling though was the best part. The routes were varied with interesting excursions like a Gouda cheese farm included. The bikes that were provided were also very good. We will definitely be thinking about planning our next trip in the near future.
