Without exeception crew were friendly and professional. Daily itineraires were well planned and accessible. Food was exceptional. Wine selection could have been better; otherwise everything was superb.

This was truly a well-organized, fun, comfortable and enjoyable way to view Belgium and Holland. Biking through the countryside as well as small and large towns with Tom as our guide gave us a perspective we couldn’t have achieved on our own. My husband used a regular bike and I had an e-bike. (I had it soooo easy!) The food was superb and all the staff were helpful and professional. Chef Alv’s dinner presentations were exceptionally delicious and his descriptions were as entertaining as Tom’s wit during the daily briefings. We and our friends had a wonderful time.

I was on a Tulip tour onboard MAGNIFIQUE 02 – 06 April 2017. It was a nice trip. There were good bikes, and we saw what we came for – tulips. But it was an ordinary tour, not Luxury. Onboard I made a suggestion to change the program one day, and the guide made laugh of me and said it would not be changed. The captain said that it not give any problems, but the guide would not change the program. Instead of going by bus to Amsterdam from Aalsmeer Flower Auction, I suggested we could return to Magnifique in Haarlem and sail to Amsterdam. Many of the other guests said it was a good idea, but the guide said NO, so we took the bus – in rush hour to Amsterdam – drive – stop – drive – stop, bad decision, we could have had it all – the auction, a cruise from Haarlem to Amsterdam and the days ride, not good. The Boat-Bike Tour don’t have an environmental policy; I saw the cook throwing banana skin, orange peel, and the top of a pineapple, into the canal. Later he threw bread in the water too, I suppose that the birds would eat it, but what the bird’s don´t eat – the rats will. Not good. In the brochures it says that it is a Luxury Cruise, but in my eyes luxury is more than a good bike and nice rooms. Even though I every evening said my room number, they didn’t know how much I had been drinking when I should pay – very unprofessional. Luxury – is also professional service. The crew was sweet and helpful, but it was not LUXURY they delivered, so I would say it was an ORDINARY CRUISE. The entire cruising was of 1½ hour, the first evening from Amsterdam to Zaandam; that was all; it is not BIKE and BOAT TOUR, but BIKE or BOAT TOUR. I have send these issues to the Boat-Bike Tours more than a month ago, but I have not heard anything from them, I would like to hear their meaning before sharing my experiences on TRUSPILOT, but they have not answered my mail, only with a short “thank you, we will answer you no sooner than Wednesday” – not professional. I had more issues, which I have send to Boat-Bike Tours, but I will stop for now.

We had a fantastic experience aboard the Fluvius! The entire crew and captain were top notch; personable, accommodating, knowledgeable. The barge itself was just right…comfortable, spacious, smooth riding. Bikes were so nice we took pictures of the brand and gear brand. We also stepped up to ebikes after the first day of 38 miles and 28mph headwinds…we are not cut out for that much work! The other people in our group (all ages and sizes…34 of us all together) managed just fine. I think about 5 of us ended up with ebikes, which you still need to pedal but they just give an assist so it’s a workout but do-able. Can’t wait for our next bike trip!!

Super Fun, well organized, the crew was great and our guide (Tom) was very patient and did a great job.. I would do it again.

The Magnifique II is a lovely barge with excellent accommodations. The cabin and bathroom are spacious and well-designed with plenty of storage. Meals were inspired, considering the limits of the galley. We were amazed at how hard working and flexible the crew were, and so very caring. (The captain carried our bags to the taxi). Tour guide was excellent with a multilingual sense of humor. Liked the bike routes and scenery; found the bikes too heavy and limited by just 7 speeds.

Fantastic trip, as described in trip notes … and even better! This is my second bike barge holiday (after a week last Easter in N Holland incl. Texel Island) and I love bike barge formula. Highlights: small ‘family’ ambience aboard the smaller boat Vita Pugna; excellent committed, inspiring and caring tour guide, Tamara, and wonderful crew; delicious home made cuisine at breakfast, tea, dinner; cosy cabins; well planned cycle rides incl coffee stops and nice picnic breaks; night walks at our barge stop off points; interesting ‘off piste’ visits as well as guided tours. We had amazing warm sunshine every day, a bonus! How amazing to approach Venice by boat, bike and ferry from Chioggia, across the Po Wetlands, complete with flamingoes, and moor off the island south of Venice – surely one of the 1001 things to do in a lifetime! Would recommend the direction Mantua to Venice, so the sun is on your back BUT check that Tamara is the tour guide, as the Vita Pugna travels in both directions! Molte grazie, Sara

An excellent holiday from start to finish. The boat crew highly competent and such good cooks, our leader enthusiastic and knowledgable, the boat very well equipped, the cycles in good order and the company fascinating. Our family (4 adults and 2 children, 11 and 7) were fully accepted by a generally middle-aged group of passengers. The ambience was great and I would highly recommend this holiday. Best we’ve had for years.

We did the Mantua to Venice ride on the Vita Pugna, with Tamara as our tour leader. She was wonderful, as were the rest of the crew, all doing everything they could to heighten our enjoyment of the tour. The espresso machine (free, and available all the time) was much appreciated, as were the cakes in the afternoon, and pre dinner drinks and nibbles put out for us. We were treated with great hospitality and generosity. Tamara made the rides very pleasurable, keeping to a pace that we could all do, and taking note of the interests of riders, and pointing out things accordingly. She also took us on some lovely evening walks …the moonlight stroll through Mantua was a highlight. It was a lovely route…riding along canals and rivers, through picturesque villages and towns, and farmland. I would highly recommend this tour.

Jackie and I had an excellent experience last week on your boat. Our food was delicious, the crew as very helpful, friendly and accommodating, and to boat was very nice and cleaned well. We were blessed to have good people on the tour with us – very friendly with no conflicts – and the weather cooperated very nicely. The bikes were very new and in good working order – there were extras in case we had to trade one in. The combination of the good food and nice facilities, a great crew and socializing, and seeing a lot of sites with a little bit of exercising on the bikes made this a memorable trip.
