My expectations were exactly as I had imagined. A warm, helpful, genuinely friendly, capable staff. A clean comfortable, beautiful barge. Meals that were satisfying and well presented. Our experience on the FIEP exceeded our expectations. Everyone, from the captain, sailor, cook, host and guides, was wonderful–welcoming, excellent at what they did, fun loving–just made it an outstanding experience for us. The biking was the perfect challenge, the group was supportive, Belgium and the Netherlands are beautiful beyond description, from the cities, to the forests, to the neighborhoods we cycled through. We will be back.

great staff and guides, just an overall wonderful experience. Loved the concept of day time biking and staying on a boat overnight – no need to pack up and change hotels!

Our boat bike tour from Bruges to Amsterdam was one of the best experiences my husband and I ever had. We saw so many amazing sites we could never have found on our own. Our daily bike trips were breathtakingly beautiful and we didn’t even have to carry our stuff town to town knowing it was safely waiting for us on the boat when we returned that night. The staff were so wonderful and personable. We we’re very sad to leave our trip and are excited to book another boat bike tour in the future!

We were a party of 10. Grandparents, 2 sons in law , 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren 21,21,16, 18 boy, Who at 6,7” took a lot of filling. They certainly succeeded in coping with this slim young man’s appetite. The staff were so good to make everything special and the boat amazing. The chef fantastic. Great time had by us all. Cycling so beautiful. A wonderful way to create memories for our family. Adventures are great whatever the age.

all the staff were great…..nothing was too much trouble for them. bedrooms were spacious, food was good and there was plenty of it. Some days the length of the cycle rides were too long. More time was needed to spend at the beautiful little villages we just cycled though. No time to stop and smell the roses

The respectful and friendly attitude of the guides and the crew was the touchstone in making this experience great. Secondly, the physical conditions such as the presence of almost a fine-dining kitchen, comfortable and clean cabins, a rich enough bar helped to make it pleasant.

The barge exceeded our expectations in comfort and style. The crew was effective, helpful and friendly. Our two tour guides (Corey and Hetty (sp.)) were exceptional— fun, knowledgeable, and hard-working. The food was fantastic – delicious, varied, fresh, and well-prepared. The biking was great, despite some only okay weather. The bikes were first-rate, just right for the biking we did. The company could have facilitated us passengers getting to know the other passengers’ names better, for example by having the passengers introduce themselves to the group and distributing a list of passengers’ names. Finally, the other passengers on our trip were a true joy – friendly, diverse (at least geographically), fun-loving, and genuine.

Fantastic crew, food, guides, and commaraderie with other passengers! Hard working, friendly staff, tasty food by the chef, clean, stocked boat. Only downside was the hot tub wasn’t working till the last night. Since it was sunny weather all week it wasn’t missed much. Guides were fun and informative. Would highly recommend the premium tour.

The crew was friendly, quick to help and generally fun to have around. Commoradery with other group members was great. Perfect size for the type of cruise. Guides knew where they were taking us and from time to time would give us interesting information about the sites we would pass by. It would have been nice to have a few more picnic sites to stop at for lunch although I suppose others prefer the cafes. The food was very good, a few more vegetables would be good. EG. We had beef stew one night, there were barely any vegetables in the stew. Accomodations were very good, slept great. Shower was great. For the most part the bikes were in good shape except for a couple of bikes. We had one significant medical issue with a crew member which was handled well. However the response to bike spills and minor accidents tended to be lackadaisical. One member ended up crashing into a bridge railing and was in considerable pain. The guide’s response lacked the appropriate response at the time. The next day he showed more concern when she continued to be in pain. Over all, it was a great experience.
