A good value but be prepared to be your own bike mechanic!

Everything about our boat-bake tour was superlative. The Netherlands is designed for bicycling, and our barge crew made it easy for us to enjoy every moment. We got daily recommendations that offered several alternate bike routes. We were free to explore and to see the countryside on our own — without having to drag our things around. Meals were ready for us when we got back to the barge by 6, and our cozy little cabin was clean and comfortable.

Had a very good time cycling from Bruges to Amsterdam, coming back to the Fluvius boat each evening. Food was excellent, as were cabins and guides. The bicycles were sturdy and panniers were supplied to carry packed lunches etc. Cycling usually finished around 3.30>4.00, tea/coffee and cake were available in the dining room. HIrdryer supplied on the room but no tea making facilities which did not affect us as we always travel fully equipped. Terrain very flat generally cycling through beautiful gardens, countryside and villages. Highest mileage was 36.6 miles in one day. Would recommend this holiday especially for a “maiden” cycling holiday.

Wir haben vom 30.06. – 07.07.2018 die kombinierte Segel- und Radtour am (und auf dem) Ijsselmeer mit der Elizabeth gemacht – mit nur 17 Gästen an Bord. Wir hatten fantastisches Wetter, eine tolle Crew mit Skipper Alwin, Alexandra, Vinzent und Koch Sandy. Höhepunkte war das Segeln mit allen 5 Segeln (einschließlich der Mithilfe beim Hissen und Reffen der Segel). We took the tour from Koblenz to Saarburg. The cabin was quite a bit smaller than one we had previously from Amsterdam to Bruges but still comfortable. The scenery each day was magnificent and the riding was a good length. Food on board was very good and plentiful and the other passengers were very easy to get along with. We would recommend this one and are already planning our next one.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I highly recommend an eBike – makes it easy to ride the hills and stop for wine tastings.

We booked our Prague boat/bike tour through Boat Bike Tours but the tour was run by SE tours. The tour was really fun and exactly what we expected. The upper deck cabins on the MS Florentina were nice but small compared to the MS Magnifique II (Netherlands). The food includes a nice breakfast where you also make your lunch to be enjoyed on the bike route….. pick a nice spot and take a break. The dinners are a notch up and the handbook says men should wear long pants. Many men on our boat didn’t have long pants but dressed appropriately for a nice dinner. This tour offered 4 excursions ($15 – 20) to the castles and points of interest in the towns we cycled through. Since we only rode about 20 miles a day, the tours fit in perfectly. The star of this tour is the city of Prague itself. We recommend staying several extra nights and staying away from the tourist traps as much as possible.

The crew goes out of it’s way to make sure you have an enjoyable experience. The food is adequate and the bikes are comfortable, easy to ride. Be prepared for a sore bottom/butt unless you are a regular cyclist. E bikes are available and make the riding a lot easier as some days you will be riding into the wind. Read the information carefully before booking as this adventure may not suit everyone. Some days have easier rides than others but the constant themes are the beautiful scenery and meeting new people.

Fabulous itinerary, accommodation, meals and crew were great!

We took the Hanseatic Tour on the Gandalf. It was like being among family – small, intimate yet room for privacy if wanted. The staff were helpful and capable: the cook was off for the week and Captain Hans Petrus prepared most of the meals. Our tour guide was terrific – the cycling pace was manageable in spite of our ages and his knowledge of Holland, past and present, made for interesting days.
