Our guides, the comfort and size of the vessel, and the food were all fantastic. The bikes were very comfortable and well maintained. We were a family of 4 with 13 and 15 year olds. Everyone had a great time.

The challenge of bike trips? What if one of the days you are feeling under the weather or just need a day off? Too bad, you need to bike anyway to stay up with the group. The challenge of seeing multiple countries/towns on one trip? Packing and unpacking in hotels day after day. BOATBIKE TOURS SOLVED ALL OF THAT FOR US- our “hotel” comes with us! The boat meets us at each new destination, and if we can’t bike one of the days, we simply stay on the boat! As for the boat, it was unbelievably comfortable- I tend to judge hotel rooms by cleanliness and by the quality of the mattress and the AC/Heating system. On all counts, the boat far exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing and we miss them already. So this was our second tour, but we hope there are move ahead!

Incredibly efficient and easily contactable at boat bike and the crew on the Magnifique outstanding! This particular fleet, the magnifique barges, is first class from aesthetically pleasing cabins and lounge dining room to excellent meals and a generosity of spirit that is unmistakeable from the moment you board ! This is our second tour on a Magnifique and we are keen to do another …. The Moselle trip, our most recent , is incredibly beautiful scenically and the quaint towns are the ones of hilltop castles and childhood stories by brothers Grimm! What a fabulous first boat-bike experience! We sailed on the SE Manon from Passau-Budapest and back. From the beginning, we received excellent guidance from the company regarding trip planning, arrival to the boat, and expectations for the overall experience. Boarding the boat was efficient and we had ample time to settle into our mid-deck cabin before the welcome orientation. The cabin was roomier than we expected and we could store all of our belongings without much effort. Every 4- course dinner was superb and the fantastic breakfast — featuring a variety of fresh fruits, meats, bread, cheese, eggs, etc. provided ample fuel for a busy day of cycling. Our entire crew could not have been more professional, energetic and accommodating, and frankly, they were the main reason our experience was so great. During each meal, each dock arrival, each tour briefing, and during casual free time, we invariably witnessed from every crew member a remarkable team spirit and overwhelming desire to deliver exceptional service. They were inspiring to watch and influenced us to schedule another Boat-Bike experience very soon.

My wife and I traveled on the Boat Bike Tours Princesse Royal between Cochem, Germany and Metz, France. It was the first trip of this type we had ever taken, and I am at a loss to think of anything that could have been better. The staff and guides for the boat and cycling were superb. The chef prepared outstanding meals. The captain, crew, and tour staff were always willing to make adjustments to suit individual needs. The other travelers on the boat were a great group as well, and we got to know them all. Much laughter and many shared memories that will last for a lifetime. We rode standard bicycles and roughly half of the travelers rode eBikes. All the equipment was good and the combination of standard and eBikes made the trip accessible to many fitness levels. The guides were knowledgeable about the area and history to discuss on many of our stops. Again, the trip was great and I’d recommend to anyone who wants an adventure where you get to see the lands and the local populace up close. Very different from auto or train travel.

The staff and their attention to detail are what makes this experience great. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The itinerary was excellent, involving a combination of cycling with sightseeing. Problems are dealt with quickly and effectively. The food was amazing.

Biking through Belgium and Holland is just great fun. We got to meet new friends from other countries and bonded with our group of about 38. Living on the ship added to the adventure. Our ship’s crew couldn’t have been more accomodating.

Great organization and service from booking to the end of the tour. Very comfortable barge and well catered meals. The guides were excellent at keeping us on time with well distributed breaks and interesting sightseeing.
