Our experience biking along the Moselle river wonderful. Our tour guides were both knowledgeable and entertaining as we rode through the three countries.
Arriving back to the boat after a day of cycling we were met by the friendly staff, drinks, and a full course dinner.

Miko the guide on the Gandolf was very helpful and accommodating in how he explained the upcoming days ride. The route was very rideable for inexperienced riders or those with little extened biking experience. Route was full of great views and photo opportunities. Miko allowed the group to splinto two groups, one group who wanted to ride faster with less stops for explanation to proceed ahead and the other group to ride with Miko for more detailed view. Cabins were on smallish side with very little chance of air movement and remained hot during the night which made it hard to sleep. Small fan provide by crew didn’t offer much relief and was noisy. Captain and rest of crew were helpful and wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. Breakfasts had limited variety to choose from and with need to build your lunches from what was left from breakfast. Food was okay, not lavishly prepared due to limited kitchen space and chef. There were only a couple of issues with bike equipment during the week. Pace of boat when we were on it was good and allowed for photos and breezes to help cool off after finishing ride. Distance covered each day was good and bikes were as comfortable as could be expected. Biking shorts are a must. E-bike should be better explained to avoid confusion for all riders. All on board were nice to get to know and some lasting friendships were formed.

It was such a completely wonderful vacation. We relaxed on the boat, we enjoyed the rides, the app worked well and the crew was top notch. The food on board was wonderful! We found Jurgen’s daily briefings to be inaccurate and often confusing, but his heart was in the right place. Overall this will go down as one of our favorite vacations ever!

The Lena Maria is a nice boat! The crew is great! The food was outstanding!! Our guide, Tammy, was super!
Friesland is beautiful and very interesting.
The only negative feedback is that the rental bicycles are not very “solid”.

Friesland was fantastic. Very relaxing riding in the beautiful countryside through farms and small villages with none of the hustle and bustle of big cities. The boat ride to and from the islands was an added pleasure that I didn’t expect. The boat was very nice, air conditioned but the weather was cool enough that it wasn’t needed. The meals were all what you would expect at an expensive restaurant with a professional chef! All of our crew mates were interesting and very friendly. Finally, our tour guide Tammy is the best. She researched all of our routes beforehand and knows the county side and history intimately. We were unable to use ride by GPS as we did the route in reverse but it didn’t matter.
Overall this was a fun and relaxing trip and a very good deal. We will plan on taking future trips every year with Boat Bike Tours.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The bike tours were beautiful and relax, the stay on the boat allowed time to connect with the other passengers and enjoy the scenery. We toured some interesting historical sites.
the boat was basic but comfortable and clean. The food was local and ok. And our guide was exceptional!

A wonderful trip on the Fleur. Great guiding from the BoatBike team, Francine and Eric. Amazing food from Steffie, who catered for food allegeries with clever alternatives. Captain Jean Marie and sailor Ivo were a joy to watch with their highly coordinated management of the ship through very narrow locks. The Fleur is delightfully comfortable, with en-suite cabins. Each day was a different experience through the French countryside. Think medieval towns, little villages, farmlands and beautiful paths beside the canal and the Seine, finishing with a cold beer on the foredeck of the Fleur.
