Boat was comfortable, all staff were extremely friendly and helpful which created a relaxed atmosphere on board. The bikes were excellent and the leader Eliza and Stine were wonderful. The bike tour was promoted as level 3 difficulty which is why we requested electric bikes. However I believe the tour was closer to a 1 in terms of difficulty.

Ivan is a great tour guide. We had wonderful experiences on the ship Harmony. Excellent food. Meet friendly people on and off boat. Well organized activities. The places we visited were lovely. Looking forward to joint other tours from this company in the future.

We enjoyed our Camargue to Avignon trip on the Caprice tremendously. Tour Guide Thomas was understanding and open minded. Inside the boat, the Steward Omar was gracious and responded to everyone requests, some which were ridiculous and Chef Alessandro is a notch above!

Most of our feedback regards the tour guide, Thomas and while we know you probably did not have any input into his selection, we hope you will forward this feedback to the company that selected him.
Thomas is a friendly and knowledgeable guide, but his guiding style was not very good. He used a system called “corner people” to keep the group from getting lost. They system was good; however, he overused it in some areas. He would post two corner people within sight of each other when one could have done the job. He frequently made stops for people to drink water (which is needed), but less than five minutes later, he is stopping to tell us something. For example, one time we stopped for water and then started pedalling and a few minutes later stopped again to tell us we were on a stretch of bike trail that we could go fast (GO zone) and just stop at a certain point. The Go zone information could have been given when we stopped for water or stopped for water when he told us about the Go zone. Additionally, he cut the route short on several days and would just hang out in a town. For example, the first day called for going down to Le Grau-du-Roi and then do a loop in the country. He totally deleted the loop in the country and let people who wanted to get in the Mediterranean Sea have the opportunity. We were in that town for at least 2 hours. The last day he cut the distance by taking a short cut and then hung out in a couple of towns for an hour or more each. This last day of shorting riding, my wife and I really did not mind as by then we just wanted the trip to be over. We were so tired of all of the stops and the hanging out in the towns.
To summarize, we would not recommend having Thomas as a guide again.
Additionally, there were a couple of very windy days and he never suggested that people on regular bikes should draft behind the ebikes.
Finally, we felt that the Caprice’s quarters were just a bit too small. We felt cramped the entire week. Regarding the crew, we did not have much interaction with the captain (Fabrice), but the services provided by the chef (Alessandro) and the steward (Omar) were the BEST we have ever had.
We passed through several towns that had events going on; however, if we had not stumble upon them, we would not have been aware of then. We thing it might be better if there were events in the towns that the tour operator would provide a list and the opportunity to get tickets (much like the various excursions the big cruise ships have).

We understand your concerns about the guiding approach. Your comments about how the guidance could have been more efficiently delivered and how the ride pacing could be improved are very helpful. Regarding the boat itself, we understand that the cabins on Caprice felt cramped, particularly over a full week. Comfort can make a big difference, and your feedback will be passed along to the operator. The idea of providing better information about local events in the towns along the route is a good one, especially for guests who want to make the most of their time off the bike. Excellent from start to finish. The boat was lovely, the crew were great, the guides fantastic, the bikes were good & the food exceptional bearing in mind it was produced by 2 chefs for 30 people from a small galley kitchen.

I had a great time and truthfully, everything came together from boat and bike to make it a great experience. The two guides, Jordy and Lia were exceptional. They went above the call of duty to make sure each of us enjoyed the trip. The food Joel cooked was delicious. The captain, Marnik, did a great job maneuvering the boat and his open cabin policy was much appreciated as I enjoyed watching him drive the boat and seeing the view from the control room. Matje did a wonderful job, keeping our rooms clean and generally taking care of everything and Richard also did a great job supporting everyone.
I had a wonderful trip and plan to do another boat and bike tour.
