The crew worked so hard to fix a waste disposal issue! It was soooo hot…I don’t think that the leaders had a plan if a rider was to experience heat stroke. The routes weren’t that interesting- a lot of shadeless levee riding. The Ride GPS app was barely mentioned – though I find it really useful. Newbies could have used some e-bike training.

Truly delicious and amazing food at every meal. Experienced and competent guides who were multilingual and fun. Interesting people to meet. Lovely cycling spots and sailing adventures.

The rooms/cabins are very small but offer their own bathroom and shower.

Beds were comfortable despite being smaller than usual. A very large person would struggle on the ship.

Despite blistering hot and humid days with little shade, I enjoyed this trip from Venice to Mantua very much. What put it over the top were the delicious meals prepared by Chefs Dani and Franceso. They used fresh, local products in unique combinations. Each day was well organized with periodic stops for coffee, points of interest and interesting lectures on history and culture by Hein. The riding itself was a mixed bag with bike paths, busy city/town streets, highways and gravel paths. It made for some quite challenging rides. All in all, the friendliness of Captain Jano and his crew really added to the overall enjoyment of this trip. I recommend it.

Well organised and well planned routes. Just the right mileage each day. Great food. Comfortable cabin.

Wir hatten eine großartige Woche auf der Wapen fan Fryslan. Die Crew war super freundlich, hilfsbereit, jederzeit ansprechbar. Das Essen – auch das vegetarische – war lecker; auf individuelle Wünsche wurde eingegangen. Auch das Wetter hat mitgespielt, so dass die gut geplanten Radtouren uneingeschränkt Spaß gemacht haben. Ein Erlebnis waren für uns die Segelpassagen. Wir können Boat Bike Tours nur empfehlen.

The Magnifique III was gorgeous! Just as nice if not nicer than the pictures. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The attention to detail was fantastic and they went out of their way to make you feel special. There were three birthdays in a row and they acknowledged them all.

I loved that we could have unlimited coffee throughout the day especially self-serve first thing in the morning. The end of the day briefings were extremely helpful as well as the details in the Ride with GPS app. The kindness of the guides and their sense of humour was lovely. The quality of the bikes was outstanding. There was so little friction even on the self-powered bikes. Being very tall, I was excited to sit upright on my bike like I see the bikers doing in the Netherlands. I was a bit disappointed with the handlebars on the bike not being high enough and at a proper tilt (even though they were adjusted to the max) which caused a bit of discomfort in my neck and shoulders.

It was nice to have short route and full route options each day. The scenery along the route was absolutely incredible, completely enjoyable and an excellent balance of culture and charm. I loved that we stopped at a strawberry vending machine and a cheese farm. It was great when our guides would be sharing a local morsel from the area for us to sample. This was a beautiful touch. Experiencing the different modes of biking transport; elevator to an underwater tunnel, water taxi, bike bridge, with traffic, orange pathways, cobble roads, etc. was so informative. This was a bucket list trip for many people on the boat. It was definitely one of the best trips of my life. Well done. Thank you.

I love combining biking with boating in such a relaxing way. This was my second tour and I was pleased once again by the friendly staff, comfortable accommodations and a well thought out ride with a pace that is comfortable.

The attention to detail was amazing.

We had a great time on the Vivienne, a RadReisen premium ship. Started in Passau and explored the Danube. The ship, crew, food and tour guide “Leslie” were all on their top game. We rented E Bikes which is highly recommended as many of the rides were 50km. We left the boat in the morning and followed a printed or digital guide and caught up with the ship later in the day. A sack lunch was provided. Will do again!

The two bike guides, Annameik and Neils, were very friendly, considerate, patient and thorough. We are aware that everything doesn’t go as planned, and they very seamlessly adjusted schedules, routes,

Our cabin was very nice and well appointed for the most part, quite roomy for two, especially since we didn’t spend much time there except for sleeping. The small shelves definitely help to keep devices charged and organized My only suggestion is that the beds could be firmer, especially for “older” guests with back or hip issues. I would have also liked the option of having a wash cloth and/or a hand towel, and a small bar of soap.

The biggest negative was with regard to the food. First, I think that the breakfast food should be set up in a separate area from the lunch station, as it took guests too long to get their breakfast, and many felt that they had to create their lunch sandwiches at the same time. So, we stood in line for breakfast longer than needed, and by the time some went back to create their lunch, there was little to choose from. The breakfast often was depleted before all guests were served. One morning, almost all the guests went through the breakfast line, many seemed discouraged that there wasn’t an egg or protein option, and then, the kitchen brought out a bowl of hard boil eggs after many had already begun eating. For lunch, there should be more options than just eating ham every single day! Another meat choice like turkey or chicken would have been better, as well as having consistent access to lettuce, tomato, and various condiments. Some days, it was really slim pickings to make a decent lunch,. Variety to the lunch snacks would have also been appreciate as well. And, finally, the evening meal was a huge let down, not just for my husband and I, but many other guests that we talked to. There were a few “delicious” items throughout the week, but mostly we were disappointed. Case in point, the “asian” night was very confusing, spicy and limited…no one said “take only 1 shrimp and 1 egg roll!” So some people got none at all, (and they never brought more to our table, like they did for others) and the beef and peppers served over rice was frankly inedible because the meat was so tough no one could even chew it. I know there were many guests who went to bed very hungry that night as it was left on most of their plates. I must admit that I had very high expectations to experience some amazing food, as stated by guests on your promotional videos, and by guests on the boat whom we met the night before, who just raved on and on about all the food….as it was prepared by the previous chef. So, I think you seriously may want to reconsider not using our chef again!
