The crew on the Nassau were all committed to give us their best service. We were made welcome and our ride each day was made very enjoyable because all help and advice was given to get us out and back safely.

Loved my recent barge bike trip in Provence and the Camargue. I learnt so much about the area we were biking in. I am GF and was looked after well by Omar, he even made me a special gluten free museli which I really appreciated. Our guide Alex was the best guide, she consistently went above and beyond every day to make sure our day was the best she could make it. She knew a lot of history and told us fabulous stories Everyone loved Alex and she loved our group too. Great memories and our second trip with Boat Bike Tours. We will be back!

The tour itself was great. Accomodation on board was actually better than described. The cabins were basic but clean. When I reported a fault with the air conditioning it was dealt with the next day.The meals were well prepared and although there was limited choice they were of a good standard and enjoyable. The cycling trips were well organised with a helpful briefing each day and an approachable guide always available. The paper maps and guides were excellent so we didn’t even bother using the GPS supplied. All staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. The routes were well planned and gave us a real experience of the Netherlands. We rented two bicycles which were comfortable and well maintained. What really stood out for us was the way the office staff were flexible and helpful when about eight weeks before our trip it looked like we had to cancel at least part of it due to illness. All in all it was a great trip and we are looking forward to using Boat and Bike tours again in the future.

Our guide, Miko, was extremely competent and knowledgeable throughout the entire trip, and we really enjoyed and appreciated his assistance and background planning that made the experience great.
The crew of the Gandalf were equally experienced navigating us expertly from harbour to harbour. The food aboard was outstanding as well as varied each evening. Every dinner was excellent.

From start to finish, we had an amazing trip. The weather in Croatia was spectacular the entire week. The beautiful Bellezza was so comfortable with a friendly Captain and Croatian crew that spoiled us with delicious food, a spotless ship and smiles at the bar every day from our servers Antonia and Bruna. The ship had many common areas and there was always a space to be social or to just be alone if you wanted to. We honestly felt like we were on our own private yacht for the week.
Our guides Nikolina and Kristofor shared so much knowledge of their country and the islands we visited, all while keeping us safe and accommodating the guests on board however they could. We were lucky to have a group of cyclists aboard who immediately bonded with one another and we all enjoyed having coffee, drinks and meals together and chatting during our rides and swim stops.

Our trip was from Dubrovnik to Split. The seas were calm, the water is clear and beautiful for swimming and the islands are so scenic. Our tour was full with 32 people on board and we all had e-bikes. I cannot imagine taking on the hills we encountered without one. The bikes were comfortable and well-maintained and everyone had a large pannier which would fit whatever you needed for the day. Each ride included at least one “coffee stop”, where you could refuel and use a bathroom at a local cafe. Otherwise, restrooms were few and far between. Several of the rides included an optional swim, which many people took advantage of, and brought bathing suits and towels along on the ride. Docking each night was interesting as we were almost without exception docked several boats deep, meaning people had to walk through our boat to get to theirs or visa versa. This was not a problem, but just shows how popular the ports are.

I’ve done a lot of riding in some beautiful places, but these rides were the most scenic I have ever done. The hill climbs (a lot of elevation gain, but quite manageable with the many e-bike settings) led to spectacular views that awed us every single day. You should have road riding experience as there is some traffic on the islands and getting out of the busier ports on the bike means paying attention, as does riding along steep drop-offs that only sometimes have guard rails.

I can honestly say that this Highlights of Dalmatia Plus trip was one of, if not the best vacation I’ve ever been on.

The food was fantastic. Chef “Roger” was awesome. Dinners were delicious. Each day after our bike travels the crew set out a gorgeous and delicious snack. Our every need was meant by Jolene and Daniel. We met the first Captain and saw him on the first day. He left partly through our journey. The second Captain was amazing! He actually helped out the crew doing dishes behind the bar! And was always around for conversation. He was first class. We also loved the size of the boat. To only have 32 people and Not hundreds was a benefit. And yes, we will be going again! I think the only downside to the trip we would’ve liked to have had more independence in biking.

The June trip on Magnifique 2 was my 4th trip on a Magnifique boat (two on Magnifique 2 & two on Magnifique 3) and my girlfriend has also been on Magnifique 4.

In EVERY case, the Magnifique boats and especially the crews & guides have lived up to their names: MAGNIFICENT. Our special thanks to Chef Steven, Hostess Sophie, and especially Guide Hetti.

Can’t wait for our next trip which will be on Magnifique 1 later this year!!

A COMMENT & SUGGESTION:
Even if you bike a lot at home, consider renting an e-bike. With an e-bike, hills and headwinds won’t bother you plus you’ll be less tired at the end of the day and more likely to explore the town where the boat docks that evening.

Perfect way to experience the Croatian Islands. Everything was wonderful about our week on board the Harmonia. The food was excellent. The guides were knowledgeable and good hosts.
