Loved the bike rides and the crew! Didn’t like the always wet bathroom floor. I wouldn’t call it sailing, but riding a diesel boat. We only put up two sails on one afternoon. The bike tour guides were great people, but didn’t know the local history or customs. Overall not great creature comforts, but a fun bike riding experience!
Thank you for your feedback — great to hear you enjoyed the bike rides and the crew! Regarding the sailing: on our sailing ships, we always hoist the sails when weather and safety conditions allow. However, sailing on open water depends on many factors like wind direction, strength, tides, and the itinerary. That’s why sometimes only limited sailing is possible, and the engine is used to stay on schedule. One of the best experiences in my 66 years!! Sailing in a beautiful 100 year old boat under the Oresund bridge?? I’ve driven over several times but never imagined sailing under it.
The food was exceptional, the crew was lovely, professional and genuine. The guides were delightful, the rides were well thought out and the experience was one I’ll repeat.
I would recommend the e-bike, my manual bike was a bit difficult on the longer rides.

Everyone on board was very nice. The rides were fun. The Dinners were fantastic great job. A few constructive comments I can make is send out the links for the rides ahead of time so they can be downloaded at home. Beer prices onboard were fair but the amount of soda very little for 3.75 euros was crazy.

A trip of a lifetime on De Willemstad. The self guided biking tour was amazing passing through beautiful countryside with many windmills and farmlands, as we ate our way through restaurants and cafes in the little villages and towns along the way with no shortage of ice cream shops. The service on the ship was impeccable under the guidance of Lucian who is the perfect concierge and the servers at our table Irina, Maruni and Ionthe (I hope I got his name right) treated us like long lost friends and were very quick at servicing our needs. Food was also very appetizing and adequate. Definitely a trip that should be on your bucket list with Boat Bike tours. A++

Our guides and the staff were organized and very personable. The routes chosen were interesting and so scenic. We were always safe and well prepared. Our accommodations were always clean and comfortable.
The chef prepared delicious meals and desserts. We totally enjoyed our experience and hope to choose another adventure with Boat Bike Tours in the next year!

Boat air conditioner did not work despite saying we were in an air conditioned room. Air conditioning didn’t work in any of the rooms. Pubilished itinerary wasn’t follow we only visited 2 of 6 island promised. Weather was used to shorten distances vessel traveled saving the captain/vessel a ton on fuel costs replacement islands were less than desirable. Watching the weather on the internet the captain could have gone to the other 4 islands with some modifications but chose to save himself some money and work by shortening the distances traveled. Fully a bait and switch to the owners benefit.
Dear Ron, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us regarding your travel experience in Greece. It is unfortunate to learn of the difficulties you experienced with the air conditioning on the boat during your time on board. With the rising temperatures, we understand the discomfort this can cause. A technician was ordered immediately on return of the boat to Athens. The changes in the tour program during this week were very much weather related and based on the comfort and safety of our guests. We do not have the need to apply tour changes to save costs, with many alternatives costing us more then the scheduled plan we have calculated with. We monitor the weather together with our captains and are in constant contact in providing the best possible tour alternative. During your week with us the Methana Peninsula and the islands of Poros, Spetses, Hydra and Aegina were built into the alternative program. We are sorry that the experience provided was worthy of just one star. Due to the relaxed atmosphere on board, the guides were left with the impression that the guests, although provided with an alternative tour, were extremely thankful for the efforts given and by the alternative provided. We apologize if that was not the case and wish that we had been alerted earlier of your dissatisfaction and the severity of your discomfort in order to apply possible solutions before the end of your time with us on board. This is our sixth adventure with Boat Bike Tours, and it is probably one of the best times we have had despite the wind and the rain on one particular day of biking. The sailboat was a beautiful refitted Barquentine with spacious comfortable public areas. The cabins were a bit small, but we did not spend much time there. We had knowledgeable and friendly caring guides, and the group of bikers was one of the best because each person was an experienced biker with warmth and consideration for others. The bikers were from all over the world, and we spent quite a bit of time laughing and talking. I cannot say enough good things about the crew not to mention the exceptional chef who provided the most delicious meals. The bikes were in excellent condition and the routes were well planned and not difficult. The entire boat was kept clean by the crew. The captain gave us quite a bit of information about the boat and about our itinerary. It was a wonderful adventure.

Staying on a barge was great and meals were very good.
The test ride didn’t happen which would have been good to get used to bikes. Daily briefings could have been more in depth, with some days the guide had not been supplied with correct maps/routes to display.
Bikes were surprisingly comfy and good.
