The boat facilities were very nice. Food was good. The three stars are due unsatisfactory security, problem management from staff and the lack of actual tours. Biking was mostly bike from point A to point B without much information sharing.

Overall good value for $. Was frustrated with the wide variety of rider skill. Wish I had used the printed daily guide along with Ride With GPS more. More fresh vegetables at dinner. Frozen vegetables every night Night city walks were great Guides were knowledgeable about cities but not so much about the country side

Bike tour guides Hilco and Corrie were very courteous ,pleasant and helpful throughout the trip, even in the rain. My wife was injured and could not bike, therefore spent most of the time on the boat. The crew was very kind, and helpfull including the captain going out of his way to spend time with her.

The trip was well organized, excellent guide, lovely countryside, varied rides each day, boat was quite good as was the food made by Greta. Tour company should be looking at either having all participants on ebikes or dividing up the group. Would definitely recommend this trip to others.

Excellent week on a great barge with wonderful guides and a great chef! Biking is the way to see the world.

Everything we expected plus a lot more.. a fantastic trip you do not have to be a good cyclist to enjoy this experience

I had a great time. The kilometers per day was a bit more then advertised but Ok. Saw lots. Enjoyed the uniqueness of the Gandolf and crew. Having time to visit cities was a big benefit of the 11 day tour. It makes it more of a holiday then just biking. Our tour leader was very good and not having to figure out the route was a real bonus along with knowing where to find the good coffee, lunch and afternoon drink stops. Fellow travellers were wonderful…good group and the right size.

Overall an excellent trip. The staff and guides were all very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. At times communication at the start of each day could have been clearer, as the message did not always get through to everyone. That being said ,we would highly recommend the Bike and Boat vacation aboard Magnifique II

Our trip on the grande old Magnifique was really first rate all the way. The food was deliciously prepared and served. The guides were thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable. The route was diverse and interesting. The side tours in Antwerp, Dordrect, and Ghent and the smaller towns were well guided with humor, history and cultural side notes. Our captain Bert was informative and respectful. Our cook, Russell was outstanding and yet very humble considering his expertise. Our guide Bert was approachable and fun, and lead guide Corrie, a former university history professor, was a wealth of information and incredibly forthcoming, warm and personable. This crew was “the dream team!” This was a 65th birthday gift for my wife and it exceeded our expectations by a country mile. (BTW the e-bikes were a treat, and we will probably buy two when we return home!). Well done Boat Bike Tours!!

We booked the Bruges – Amsterdam tour on the Magnifique III and everything was excellent. The crew was fantastic and provided attentive service and hospitality. The food was excellent and the lodging on the ship beautiful. Our guides were knowledgeable, entertaining and what I liked best, was they never made you feel like you “should” do anything you didn’t want too, like cycle longer if you wanted to retire to the ship for an afternoon. There were some glitches with their email system before our trip but they were minor in comparison to the great experience we had on the tour.
