Excellent group leader in Micaela on the vessel Caprice. Food was well prepared and presented. Bike tours were all interesting. Well done all round – top rated tour in my opinion. The only negative I have is on the administrative side of the booking- the invoice was in Euro as expected from a company in the Netherlands, but we could not pay in Euro but had to make payment in US$. That means our payments had to go through two exchange conversions at extra cost to us (C$ to US$ and US$ to Euro). It would have been much more straightforward for us in Canada to make all payments in Euros directly to the Netherlands as invoiced .

The boat and staff were fantastic, and the island destinations scenic and memorable. We were fully satisfied with the experience, despite not having the best weather at times. Our guides especially Emma were very supportive. Communication between the guides and boat crew needed improvement as on two occasions we were left on shore with no warning as the boat respositioned in a harbour.

1. Get a proper multifunction coffee maker and have coffee/espresso available at all times. 2. Attach water bottle cages on the bicycles. 3. Attach rear-view mirrors on the bicycles. 4. Maybe this is a cultural thing, but the dinners didn’t seem all that healthy to me. A simple broiled or baked meat/fish without sauces would be appreciated. It seemed as though you were trying to stretch your food budget by adding fillers. Serve salads with dressings on the side.

The Cycling itinerary was very good. Nice trails, endless fertile plains, small historic villages and iconic towns. The E-Bikes were adequate. I had issues with the chain so my bike was swapped for another. Comfortable. The food & catering onboard was disappointing. Almost no  fresh local (French) cuisine as described in the itinerary. 2-Star Mediterranean truck stop mixture would be more accurate. Small portions at dinner. Breakfast was stingy. Ran out of protein every morning. Too much bread. Forks used instead of spoons or tongs left me thinking the kitchen was on a tight budget. Often nothing left ( except bread) to make a lunch snack. So on three days I didn t have any breakfast or lunch apart from bits of stale bread. My wife paid extra for Gluten Free options. They were unhealthy, often omitted and no care taken as to her health needs. What did we pay extra for? A few processed snack bars and a couple of bread slices? The Tour Leader was great. She put her heart and soul into leading the group. Top marks to Micky. The Barge was comfortable and clean. The Cabin and Bed were OK. We would recommend the cruise and cycling but could not recommend Bike & Boat due to the poor and inadequate catering. Left me thinking that the operator was desperate to save money?

Clean, well appointed barge with EXCELLENT staffing, food was also surprisingly good and did not expect nightly entertainment, so also a nice touch.

Overall a great experience. Staff, ship, bikes, food, and routes were all excellent for a mixed group of cyclists. The outings were a mix of cycling and tourism that everyone seemed to enjoy. The cycling distances could have been longer. Expensive but worth it.

Loved the last two days in particular going into Amsterdam

What a wonderful experience it was. From the boat Romantica to the wonderful crew and our two very knowledgeable guides Marco and Tony. The food was great every day and the ship spotless. Our rides were a lot of fun and our guides were able to quickly adapt to unexpected changes in the route conditions. The sights were exceptional and the company of our fellow travelers beyond words. I would highly recommend a trip on the Romantica to anyone. My only suggestion would be to provide a little more detail such as elevation gain and descent on the planned rides

We had a great time on our boat bike trip on the pearls of Dalmatia. Our e bikes were fabulous . The food was filling and tasty. Our guides Marko and Tony were very kind and pretty amusing.

The bike barge tour from Passau to Vienna was an excellent journey for us! The Princess Katarina boat took us to some lovely towns and trails. The bicycles we used were very comfortable for 7 days of cycling The staff of the barge were upbeat, efficient and knowledgeable so we felt very pampered and supported. Yummy healthy foods each day complimented the scenery through the Danube river. The would highly recommend this tour and we plan to book another tour next year.

Great trip to Holland with Boat Bike Tours. Barge was fab, plentiful food and hot water for the shower. Route maps amd bikes were great too.

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time on our Boat Bike Tour in The Netherlands! We found the accommodations to be larger than on other tours, and sparking clean. There was even good water pressure in the shower. The entire staff was very professional, yet personable. Hans and Alv did a masterful job of ensuring that our bike rides and side excursions were enjoyable and that each rider was comfortable. The captain was very pleasant, the chef was entertaining and prepared surprisingly delicious meals, and the bar/wait staff provided exceptional customer service. Also, we found the other 38 guests on our tour to be interesting, worldly people, so conversations were very worthwhile. I highly recommend Boat Bike Tours. My wife and I are already looking into booking another tour and are encouraging our friends to join us.
