We had a fantastic time aboard the Fleur for the Tulip Tour with Jens and Marleen as our guides. Many of the boat crew were delightful, and the food was excellent. If there were any issues on the ship, the crew were quick to address them. The group of passengers on our boat were all very nice and a quick camaraderie was formed between us all. The bike tour itself was outstanding. We opted for regular bikes, but many on our boat had e-bikes. The Dutch mountains (fierce headwinds) did make an appearance on couple of occasions, but we managed the week without electric assist. I will say there were some older folks (70+) on our boat who also had non-electric bikes and they managed, but wished they had opted for the e-bikes by the end of the week. We traveled in many different sized groups throughout the week and the level of care the guides took to make sure everyone was informed and looked after was above and beyond. There were numerous other boats doing the same tour routes as us, so it was great to get to meet those crews, passengers, and guides as well. Every night our guides offered a walking tour of each city we were docked in, and we even received a history lesson on the reclaimed lands from Marleen, our guide, whose family has lived there for quite some time. This was our first experience traveling like this and we were not let down in any way. I am looking forward to our next adventure with Boat Bike Tours.

Fleur is a boat you want to keep coming back to. It is like coming home. It is the right size to meet people, the owners & staff incredible, the food sooo good, and the bike tours the right balance of beauty and an energetic bike ride. Thank you.

The Premium Tulip Tour far exceeded our expectations. The boatwas very comfortable and well organized. The bikes were top rate, easy to use and adjustable to all riders. The guides were excellent, knowledgeable and made each day fun and relaxing. The daily trips covered many parts of the rural region and lots of small towns. We are active riders and this trip checked off all our boxes and I would highly recommend. It was amazing and we are so grateful to have the chance to complete such an epic ride and adventure!!

The scenery biking in the Netherlands was iconic and beautiful with canals, tulips and windmills. The crew of the Zwaantje was so friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful group of guests on the ship and we loved the smaller sized ship for the chance to get acquainted with all on the ship. We would highly recommend but know if the wind is strong the biking upgrades to moderate from easy.

We had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing. The staff took care of all the bike issues, loading and unloading the bikes each day. Pleasant staff and bike tour leaders. The boat was clean and comfortable. We would recommend this trip!

The crew were friendly, helpful and readily available and our two guides were wonderful. The boat was small and spartan, as expected, but comfortable and became our home for the week with a great bunch of fellow cyclists. The food was outstanding – delicious and plentiful! The bikes were in good shape and smooth to ride and while the days were cool and often wet we certainly enjoyed the rides (and fun stops) on this terrific tour.

The family owned and operated Fluere was a delight. All of the boat crew and ride leaders were friendly and helpful. Accommodations were simple, yet were comfortable and surprisingly roomy.

Having previously traveled with this company I was hesitant to book this trip, but this barge, the crew and guides were excellent

Boat Bike Trip The bike leaders were marvelous. The staff on the boat were wonderful. two areas of concern, our documentation on the trip listed “Sarah” as our boat, but that was incorrect, it was Fleur (caused confusion when we were looking for the boat, very frustrating). No one in the train station information booths (many) knew where the exit door (with the name on the documentation) was. very confusing. several days into the trip, I woke to find our cabin had at least two inches of water on the floor, and everything n the floor including our luggage. was very wet. apparently the toilet in the cabin next to ours had been running all night and filled the collection tank. the staff tried to dry up the water from carpet, etc. but still wet and moldy/musky, causing some congestion and coughing from myself. 2nd day still carpet soaked, I believe on the third day the carpet was removed to dry out. We had a great trip, I loved the biking, enjoyed the itinerary, planned stops during the rides, seeing the Netherlands outside of Amsterdam.
