My wife and I had a great time on Boat Bike Tours. I didn’t consider the canal cruising that we did when we signed up. The boat cruising really showed a side of the Netherlands and Belgium that we would have never seen. The Fluvious was great, the rooms were small but we had expected that and everything was kept very clean.

While biking through the countryside of the Netherlands and Belgium we saw an incredible amount of beautiful sights and historical cities and locations. The boat was extremely comfortable and provided everything we needed. Met and made some new great friends! The boat’s crew was wonderful and very friendly and accommodating of any needs no matter how small. Overall a great experience and we are and have looked at future boat and bike trips.

Too many people to manage safely

From the moment we stepped on board, we were made to feel very special, the crew were fantastic, and they all worked together to make our week amazing. Food was freshly prepared and delicious. The guides were fun and knowledgeable. Everyone on the boat got along.there was 32 people, I was in a group of 14 ladies. The rest were couples from around the world, friendships were made without a doubt. Fun times as had by all x

The boat was absolutely beautiful and very very clean. The food delicious, fresh and obviously cooked with love for dining. The daily rides through the countryside were interesting with changes of scenery and neighborhoods. The guides stopped and pointed out historic points of interest and meaningful local lore. It’s the best way to really see the countryside with bike paths and quiet roads. Our bikes were comfortable and well maintained. We had 2 groups, for 28 riders, based on the ride length averaging 15-25 miles per day. Our average pace for the days was around 10 mph which I found a bit slow with a lot of waiting for the rear to catch up. I think 3 groups would have been better. That being said, the guide leaders were fantastic and did keep us together. I would highly recommend the trip and plan to do more in the future. It would be great to have a bike jersey from the company.

The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too difficult. They had an excellent camaraderie between them as well as with the guests. Food was wonderful. Always fresh and very tasty. State rooms were kept tidy. Cycling through Holland and Belgium was a treat. Drivers were very considerate. It was a pleasure cycling each day.

All the staff were great, very friendly and helpful. Meal’s fun and enjoyable, rides were very fun. Housekeeping, prompt and thorough. All good.

Amsterdam to Bruges aboard Zwaantje with guides Marcel and Alfons, Captain Bart, Mate Brando, Chef Frank and Host Milton; May 4 -11. We were the only first-time bike tourists on this trip and not really sure what we were in for. Very happy with the trip and the overall experience. Marcel and Alfons were fantastic guides – very knowledgeable and they took great pride in conveying the history around us. They managed bike maintenance and repairs on the go smoothly and efficiently. Chef Frank’s meals were amazing – always an entree, main course and dessert – varied, delicious and plentiful. His pre-meal presentations were entertaining! Our host Milton kept our cabins tidy and refreshed, so welcoming after a day’s ride. Captain Bart and Mate Brando were an excellent team – our travels were always smooth and comfortable. There were a couple of opportunities to make two groups but most people chose to stay in one group. The pace was just right for us – a couple of brief rest/bio breaks on the routes as well as a lunch stop made for comfortable biking. It was a lovely way to really experience the countryside and the amazing bike paths. Accommodations were fine, I think the word is cozy but it was a smaller boat so that’s expected. Very happy with this trip!
