About this ship: Ave Maria Portegrandi

This elegant, next-generation electric river barge was built in Italy and is specially designed to navigate the quiet, lesser-traveled waterways between Mantua, Venice, and Grado.
Combining innovative technology with a strong commitment to sustainability, the vessel is equipped with 36 kWp photovoltaic panels and 340 kWh batteries. This advanced energy system makes the use of a diesel generator almost unnecessary, allowing for quiet cruising with minimal emissions.

On board, guests experience the beauty of Northern Italy’s waterways in comfort — enjoying a peaceful journey that respects and preserves the surrounding environment.
