MVO Nederland and NEx

Boat Bike Tours is a member of the largest sustainable business network in the Netherlands: MVO Nederland.
This network’s mission is to make the Dutch economy more sustainable.

The New Economy Index (NEx)

To measure progress towards this ambition, the New Economy Index (NEx) was developed, which annually tracks how well the Netherlands is advancing.
This index consists of seven themes: new wealth, circular economy, biodiversity, true pricing, inclusive entrepreneurship, green energy and transparent supply chains.
MVO Nederland’s goal for 2025 is that 20% of the current economy transitions into the new economy©.

Because we believe that sustainability is more than just CO₂ reduction, we also choose to use these seven themes to show how we contribute to the new, sustainable economy.
