Just what was promised

I really enjoyed our Boat Bike Tour of the Netherlands. I loved biking every day. The pace was just right and we were allowed enough time to stop and look around. The food on the ship was excellent. Our cabin on the ship was excellent too. It was great to meet other tourists on the ship and have someone to share meals with. I highly recommend this type of vacation.

We just finished our Northern Holland sail and bike tour. It was fantastic. The tour leader was excellent, knowledgeable and gave us all the guidance and explained the details of all our destinations. The ship and crew were exemplary. The ship was immaculate, the service was beyond our expectations, and the chef was preparing amazing food for us each day. This was our second trip with Boat Bike Tours, and we look forward to our next trip with this company.

Superbe voyage avec nuits et navigations sur le voilier avec équipage sympa (capitaine Erik, matelot, cuisinière très sympa parlant le français ) et efficace sans trop de chichis. Tout est bien organisé, les repas faits sur place sont bons ainsi que les petits déjeuners, boissons et gâteaux l’après-midi et autres petites attentions. Ambiance vraiment sympa. Cabines tout à fait correctes, jacuzzi très apprécié sur la bateau, bons vélos bien entretenus. Belles balades, beaux paysages (surtout sur les îles), belles petites villes et villages partout. En plus nous avons eu une météo tout à fait correcte début août, presque pas de pluie (une demi-heure le premier jour, un quart d’heure max. le dernier). Merci pour cette belle aventure !

Prachtige vaartocht over woelige baren. Afgewisseld met mooie fietstochten, lang of kort, net wat je wilde. En een bemanning die er alles aan deed om het een fijne vakantie te maken. Het is gelukt. Het was fijn. Hartelijk dank.

Captain Eric, Jule, Lewa, and Anita of the good ship Wapen Fan Fryslan were terrific, helpful, and very kind. It is their home and they welcomed us as if we were special guests to their home. The weather on a few days was challenging (rain and, one day, near gale-force wind), but they were always positive and very helpful. The food was terrific and the company of the other guests outstanding. We were the only Americans. All the others were Dutch and German. The bicycles were very good. On the windy day it would have been nice to have an electric bike, but on the other days, ours were fine (my wife and I are mid 60s and good shape – someone who is not should either consider another kind of trip or be sure to rent an electric bike). The islands of Texel and Terschilling were lovely and biking south through Friesland in the latter part of the trip was beautiful. Village after village seemed to exceed the former. So many adventures and a lifetime of memories in one week.

Abbiamo passato una settimana a bordo della ‘t wapen fan Fryslan, una crociera barca più bici di una settimana. Ottima accoglienza, buon clima a bordo. La barca è pulita, confortevole, ottima la colazione e soprattutto la cena. I quattro membri dell’equipaggio sono stati molto cortesi e simpatici e abbiamo fatto amicizia anche con altri passeggeri. Quando possibile si naviga veramente a vela e si può partecipare volontariamente alle operazioni di issare e ammainare le vele. È la mia prima crociera di questo tipo e la consiglio.
