WAPEN VAN FRYSLAN perfect formule boat bike. Loveley sailing, good service, crew fantastic.

Captain Eric, Jule, Lewa, and Anita of the good ship Wapen Fan Fryslan were terrific, helpful, and very kind. It is their home and they welcomed us as if we were special guests to their home. The weather on a few days was challenging (rain and, one day, near gale-force wind), but they were always positive and very helpful. The food was terrific and the company of the other guests outstanding. We were the only Americans. All the others were Dutch and German. The bicycles were very good. On the windy day it would have been nice to have an electric bike, but on the other days, ours were fine (my wife and I are mid 60s and good shape – someone who is not should either consider another kind of trip or be sure to rent an electric bike). The islands of Texel and Terschilling were lovely and biking south through Friesland in the latter part of the trip was beautiful. Village after village seemed to exceed the former. So many adventures and a lifetime of memories in one week.

Abbiamo passato una settimana a bordo della ‘t wapen fan Fryslan, una crociera barca più bici di una settimana. Ottima accoglienza, buon clima a bordo. La barca è pulita, confortevole, ottima la colazione e soprattutto la cena. I quattro membri dell’equipaggio sono stati molto cortesi e simpatici e abbiamo fatto amicizia anche con altri passeggeri. Quando possibile si naviga veramente a vela e si può partecipare volontariamente alle operazioni di issare e ammainare le vele. È la mia prima crociera di questo tipo e la consiglio.

super team und schiff auf die t’ watten fan fryslând mit eric. die tour kann ich nur mit den fahrädern und die inseln in frisland sind wirklich schön, tolle combination fahrad und segelboot…

Amazing experience indeed ! Nice boat, with enough comfort. Very nice cooking by our chef § it was a real pleasure to have meals on bord, thank’s to him ! Also great thanks to the other members of the crew ! Or Captain very quietful but we were very confident in his capacities. And what a pleasure to raise up sails (although it is done in an “old-fashion way”!) Nice trips also with bikes, we enjoyed freedom, specially on islands. Wir waren mit bei den ersten auf der Wapen fan Fryslan Tour Ijselmeer/Wattenmeer im Juni. Und es war mit einer der schönsten Urlaube!! Das Schiff, die Crew, die Mitreisenden, die Radausflüge, segeln, viel zu viel leckeres Essen ….. Wir hatten nicht eine einzige Sekunde Bedenken bez. Corona. Wir können eine Boat & Bike Tour aus voller Überzeugung empfehlen. Anita & Uwe

The crew were excellent and the ship was solid and stable. The cabins are not big but sufficient for sleeping and bathroom small but fine for shower and toilet. We were rained on whilst cycling and had to rig up a temporary washing line in the cabin to dry clothes but the radiator gave heat for drying. In contrast when it was hot the ventilation was lacking and the cabin needed a fan. The cycling days and routes were good and food on board very good

Our Boat bike tour was great fun, well organised and well provisioned. i would recommend it to anyone wanting to see the countryside of the Netherlands including the islands of Texel and Terschelling and have a bit of sailing fun. The team looking after us were professional and informative. Our cook was excellent!

This was really well organised and a lot of fun. The food was excellent and the crew were friendly and helpful. If you do not want to ride one day that is no problem and you can stay on the boat.
