The staff of the Bordeaux were wonderful and went to all sorts of lengths to make sure we had a great time. One even helped us out at personal expense when we had some challenges at a swimming pool that was not even part of the tour. They have an on board bicycle mechanic who clearly takes pride in ensuring the bikes are well maintained. Though we chose not to go with a guide, the guides were still very helpful with recommendations on places to see and local restaurants that we might want to visit. The meals (especially dinners) were excellent in both quality and quantity. Though well maintained and clean, the boat is a bit on the old side (1948?) and internet was a bit spotty so if you are looking for an ultra luxury vessel, maybe this is not what you want. However, in my opinion this tour was a remarkably good value. If you want to have a great time exploring the wines of Bordeaux, I highly recommend this tour!
