Atlantis and it s staff is wonderful. Maddalena is a good guide. Luca, the supposed sweeper, who stays behind the slowest person (me) and encourages him/her is terrible. He doesn t show any concern. Three things happened with him: 1) When he needed to help me with a mechanical problem, he did but then a fellow cyclist who joined us had me start on my own. I went the wrong way and finally found the group. My husband was concerned and started looking for me, Luca went with him, seemingly out of obligation. 2) At one point, a couple of days later, Luca guided a group of us the wrong way. 3) On the last day, on a downhill run I was the last person. He passed me and said he d wait for me up ahead. That is the complete opposite of what a sweeper us supposed to do. Admittedly, I was not at my best cycling ability due to a fall at the Atlantis on the first day. My ankle was swollen and mentally this brought me down on my skill level. A good sweeper encourages and follows. He is tge complete opposite. I d still like to take another trip with boat/bike tours but not if he is part of that trip.

We absolutely loved our guide, Hugo, on our Boat and Bike Tour in Italy!! He was SO passionate and taught us about so many interesting things and places and yet didn t bore us with too much information!! He even took pictures and videos and treated us to a movie of our day and then put them together as a gift to us! The other crew members were excellent especially our Chef, Sylvia!! What fabulous food she created for us every day! We loved all the interesting towns we stopped at and going to the Murano Glass Factory, The Cheese Factory Tour and the Carnival Ride Museum which were all very special! The only thing I would say needs improving is the barge itself. It was very old and the bathroom toilet was elevated. Luckily we were not in our cabin much and the crew and the passengers made up for that!! What a wonderful time we had!! We have been on 4 bicycle barge trips and this one was by far our favorite!! I would like to request Hugo as our guide again, what a positive and talented man he is! You are very lucky to have him! Sincerely, Cathy Sevel

The right combo of biking activity and other activities. Loved going through the little towns and cities of Belgium and Netherlands. Felt safe on bikes. 2 countries so bike friendly. Appreciated the other evening activities like beer tasting, chocolate tasting, etc. Tour guides were great. Knowledgeable about the history and made it interesting. Boat staff were personable, helpful (and hardworking !!). Food was great.

We enjoyed our bike and boat in Croatia. Great trip, boat and crew.

This was a first class experience all around. The Magnifique 11 was beautiful, comfortable and clean. With lots of cozy places to relax. The crew and bike guides were amazing. The food delicious! I have only great things to say. Our route was Amsterdam to Brugge. Get an e bike unless you are crazy fit. We had some head winds and our regular bike crew really struggled.

“Just finished Amsterdam to Bruges trip with Bike Boat Tours and would caution anyone from using this company. The biking and historical sights were amazing but the guide in formation (maps, briefings) were always bad and wrong including the GPS app they recommend which “”head office”” was in charge of. The boat was awful – rooms were not clean/kept clean, towels dirty, supplies or replaced, there was a virus outbreak (likely norovirus) that had over 60% of the guests affected including missing 1 or 2 days of biking. Staff confirmed that this occurred the week before as well. Food was ok, but constantly ran out of breakfast and lunch food. Drink pricing was reasonable. Air conditioning never worked properly, there was gas burping up through the toilets all night the last night (likely sign of filled sewer tank) and the Captain was inappropriate and unprofessional.”

The boat and bike tour was absolutely amazing. Everything was so well organized and we had options each day for the length of ride we wanted to do (or not ride at all if you didn t want to). Each days ride provided different scenery to check out. We were also provided with information on special places to see. Andreas and Rianna were exceptional tour guides.

The staff were absolutely great. The guides were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful, but also friendly and full of fun. The food was delicious and the chefs did a great job of introducing us to local cuisine. The boat was professionally operated. The staff worked very well together and tried very hard to meet everyones needs. The trip was good value, the boat was comfortable and service very good. What was promised was delivered, no complaints. Saw alot, did a lot, would definitely recommend.

I recently returned from a boat/bike trip with Boat Bike Tours, that took me through parts of Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. In short, I can say this was an amazing, beautiful experience, and I will definitely look into additional bike trips that Boat Bike Tours offer. However, I feel I need to break it down a little. First, I’m relatively new to biking; casual rides within 2-3 miles to the grocery store, beach, etc. I assure you, the Boat Bike Tours meet many different levels of biking – mostly because these tours are meant to slow you down to take in the beauty of the villages, meadows, forests, and vineyards. Both standard bikes and e-bikes are available to meet your biking level. Second, the itinerary was just what I was looking for. Enough time to ride the trails, stop for pictures or a beer (right on the trails), and time to take in the sights and shop till you drop in Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava. etc. Third, I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms on the boat. They are roomy enough for two (or a single), with a full bathroom and plenty of closet/storage space. Lastly, the food is amazing. Full breakfast buffet, provisions are available to make your lunch to take while biking, and 2-3 different dinner options each day. Everyone on the staff was friendly, focused, and committed to every detail. I cannot recommend Boat Bike Tours enough. Looking into the Amsterdam to Bruges bike tour next!! Enjoy!!

I enjoyed the combination of biking and good food. The hosts were fantastic!! I can recommend this trip to anyone.

The boat bike trip between Koblenz and Merzig was a great trip. We made new friends, saw beautiful small villages and amazing vineyards high up the hills. The guide set a good pace for biking and was informative and very helpful with any questions that arose.
