I have travelled with various Bike/Boat operators on several occasions over the years. Sadly this was my least favourite trip. The writeup we reviewed when selecting the trip was not accurate – the difficulty related to riding was much greater, which resulted in not selecting the right bike and at times riding in road conditions that were unsafe. Tour guide and boat staff were not local people and had limited knowledge of various local conditions and sites, although they were happy to search and get advice

The chef provided excellent meals! Our bike guide was very knowledgeable and made each ride fun!

The great feedback involves– good company, great food, fantastic guide, countryside, views, history, flexibility in route planning, catering for all abilities, weather was great. I could have had an ebike but glad I didn’t. The negative feedback is– I could have done another week, so I guess we’ll have to book another.

We had a lovely trip around Provence. Led by our comical tour leader Georgio. Met wonderful people and magnificent food. Recommend to anyone

We enjoyed our Camargue to Avignon trip on the Caprice tremendously. Tour Guide Thomas was understanding and open minded. Inside the boat, the Steward Omar was gracious and responded to everyone requests, some which were ridiculous and Chef Alessandro is a notch above! All in all, a great experience

“Most of our feedback regards the tour guide, Thomas and while we know you probably did not have any input into his selection, we hope you will forward this feedback to the company that selected him. Thomas is a friendly and knowledgeable guide, but his guiding style was not very good. He used a system called “”corner people”” to keep the group from getting lost. They system was good; however, he overused it in some areas. He would post two corner people within sight of each other when one could have done the job. He frequently made stops for people to drink water (which is needed), but less than five minutes later, he is stopping to tell us something. For example, one time we stopped for water and then started pedalling and a few minutes later stopped again to tell us we were on a stretch of bike trail that we could go fast (GO zone) and just stop at a certain point. The Go zone information could have been given when we stopped for water or stopped for water when he told us about the Go zone. Additionally, he cut the route short on several days and would just hang out in a town. For example, the first day called for going down to Le Grau-du-Roi and then do a loop in the country. He totally deleted the loop in the country and let people who wanted to get in the Mediterranean Sea have the opportunity. We were in that town for at least 2 hours. The last day he cut the distance by taking a short cut and then hung out in a couple of towns for an hour or more each. This last day of shorting riding, my wife and I really did not mind as by then we just wanted the trip to be over. We were so tired of all of the stops and the hanging out in the towns. To summarize, we would not recommend having Thomas as a guide again. Additionally, there were a couple of very windy days and he never suggested that people on regular bikes should draft behind the ebikes. Finally, we felt that the Caprice’s quarters were just a bit too small. We felt cramped the entire week. Regarding the crew, we did not have much interaction with the captain (Fabrice), but the services provided by the chef (Alessandro) and the steward (Omar) were the BEST we have ever had. We passed through several towns that had events going on; however, if we had not stumble upon them, we would not have been aware of then. We thing it might be better if there were events in the towns that the tour operator would provide a list and the opportunity to get tickets (much like the various excursions the big cruise ships have).”

Wonderful week, albeit hot, cycling in Provence – everything was just perfect – will highly recommend =ØMÜ=ØMÜ=ØMÜ

Lovely crew. Nice scenery and very good group of people

Loved my recent barge bike trip in Provence and the Camargue. I learnt so much about the area we were biking in. I am GF and was looked after well by Omar, he even made me a special gluten free museli which I really appreciated. Our guide Alex was the best guide, she consistently went above and beyond every day to make sure our day was the best she could make it. She knew a lot of history and told us fabulous stories Everyone loved Alex and she loved our group too. Great memories and our second trip with Boat Bike Tours. We will be back!

Another exceptional experience with Boat Bike ( as with our previous 4 Boat Bike trips ). All of the bike rides were the correct length and the directions with interesting sights were perfect. The bikes ( e bikes ) were easy to ride, sturdy and in great condition. The guide, Michaela was so helpful, knowledgable, caring and friendly. The food on the boat was exceptional and plentiful. The boat was very comfortable. I cannot praise Boat Bike Tours enough, and we are looking to our next tour in June.

Oh my goodness, All the team at this boat & bike trip were great, friendly and , professional at their job : Cedric, Antonio , Captain and professional chef ,they provide the best services and food we have ever had , We are very well experienced travellers , we really enjoyed our guided trip with this team =ØÞ=ØÞ

We traveled as a couple on this tour. The fact that we knew no one was not an issue as the tour guide and crew made it a very welcoming and inclusive experience. Our tour guide was an amazing person. She was a lot of fun. She had researched her area and was extremely knowledgeable. She made everything engaging and her instructions were always clear. She was Italian and her French and English was great, so her skills as an interpreter were excellent. The boat staff were always helpful and friendly. The food was plentiful and of a good quality. When feedback was given about the need for salad it was taken on board immediately. The bikes were well maintained and great to ride. Equipment generally was very well organised. Our cabin was a double, which was tight but& it s a boat. The living area upstairs was lovely so that compensated more than adequately. The itinerary was an excellent one. Our trip was from Avignon to Agues Morte. It seems this is the best option, it certainly worked well for us. I would thoroughly recommend this company to others.
