My wife and I had a wonderful week. Hugo the guide was exceptional. He had tremendous knowledge of the area weaving through small towns and vineyards. Added to this was his grasp of the historic background of the towns, castles, roman ruins, other sites we visited coupled with his knowledge of the historical figures. The food on the boat met all of our expectations, it was simply very good. This was a winner. (One additional note. There are a few relative short steep climbs on multiple days. The literature should encourage casual riders to consider an e bike to make these climbs easier.)

Our guide Weiger was great! Very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing. Chef Nadia fed us so well!

Guide and food was excellent

The crew was very good. Our bike guide, Heine, was informative about many areas of interest of our group.

Great experience. Excellent guide and choice of cycling route. Accommodation on boat was good, but as expected a little cramped in the bedroom, and the bathroom was tiny and needed some attention (but not serious). Meals on the boat were very good, and the lounge and eating area were ample and relaxing. Cycling routes were easy except for going over Les Alpilles, but it was worth it.

This was my second Bike and Barge with Bike Boat Tours, the first being Best of Holland on the Magnifique II in 2019. The Provence Bike and Barge used a sub-contractor, Girolibero, which in almost every aspect was inferior to the Holland Bike and Barge. – Guide (Micaela) treated us like she was the school teacher and we were her Kindergarten students. The first day was to assess us but she never adjusted her behavior. Majority of our group was on manual bikes while she was on an ebike. She was so far ahead of the group she had no clue what was going on. Guides should not be on an ebike when the majority of bikers are on manual bikes. . -Accommodations: The rooms were very small. There was no separate shower. We had to shut the bathroom door and the whole room became the shower leaving everything wet. At the very least a squeegee should have been provided to help mop up the water. -Internet  Never worked even though it was to be available in the common area. -The food was very good. The Chef (Dani )and the steward (Alice) were a pleasure to deal with. The Captain (Fabrice) was personable and made an effort to mingle. Note: I sent an email directly to Boat Bike Tours directly when I returned but have yet to receive a response.

Great meals, great staff. Guide could have been more customer service oriented. Some of the routes were too long for mechanical bikes in 30C heat. Bathrooms on boat were not good for anyone over 5 9 . At 6 ft. Tall I could not stand upright. It also would have been nice to know that the bike handlebar stems were adjustable.

This is the second boat barge trip. Not as good as the first one. Good trip but the days cycling was a bit short most days and too long one day

This is our third bike and boat tour. As always we found excellent value and adventure. This was a small group of around 21 people. We much prefer the small groups even though the cabins are smaller. There is plenty of space on deck and inside for leisure activities. We must say that the crew was outstanding. Our guide, Hein, was very funny as well as knowledgeable about the area. He was always very positive and supportive despite some terrible weather. We experienced tremendous winds and some rain. He definitely made our rides memorable. Sara, our chef, was amazing. Every meal was so interesting and delicious. Nothing was ever left on our plates. She was creative and artistic and charming. Rafael, our crew, was the best. He was always available to help with any issue. He was so friendly. We’ve never met a friendlier crew member. They’re usually just too busy to socialize, but Rafael always made himself available. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to know our captain-totally our fault as we don’t speak French. But the entire crew was wonderful. It didn’t hurt that this group of passengers was great; Safe bike riders, prompt and very sociable. We will definitely choose another bike and boat/barge for our next holiday. We’re thinking about Italy next.

Excellent guide, well organised set-up, Generous meals and responsive to guest feedback. Our most positive memories are of the cycling through the roads of country France, enjoying the spring flowers and weather.

I enjoyed the cycling, and the dinners were terrific. But the rooms weren t clean, and apart from leading the biking, the guide didn t offer much by way of introducing us to the region or specific towns. It was rather perfunctory.
