Boat was comfortable, all staff were extremely friendly and helpful which created a relaxed atmosphere on board. The bikes were excellent and the leader Eliza and Stine were wonderful. The bike tour was promoted as level 3 difficulty which is why we requested electric bikes. However I believe the tour was closer to a 1 in terms of difficulty.

Our Guides, Elize and Stine were just great. They kept us safe, on-track and well informed. They are such pleasant, competent and women! Just delightful. the bikes worked perfectly and the schedule seemed just right.
Captain Ad and his crew were very competent, efficient and friendly. The Atlantis is a wonderful, well maintained and well operated ship. It was really fun to help set the sails and get some lessons from the crew. Our fellow passengers were also part of a fine experience.
The breakfast and lunch menus were pretty repetitive but ok.
Overall, this trip could not have been any better in any significant way..

Truly delicious and amazing food at every meal. Experienced and competent guides who were multilingual and fun. Interesting people to meet. Lovely cycling spots and sailing adventures.

The rooms/cabins are very small but offer their own bathroom and shower.

Beds were comfortable despite being smaller than usual. A very large person would struggle on the ship.

Honestly, this was one of the great values for our vacation. The boat was unique, comfortable and we sailed! The captain and crew were that lovely combination of business professional yet friendly. I know at times we were in their way, but they were always so enjoyable to be with. The bikes were new and in excellent condition. Frankly, Ben and Hank, our guides were incredible: so concerned, so friendly, so committed to an exceptional experience. When a member of our group had her credentials and money stolen at the airport upon arrival, Hank and Ben took her to the embassy to get immediate replacement papers. Really outstanding guides.

Had a great time. Crew on the boat was great. Food was good as well. The boat is beautiful. Very little light in the shower. Perhaps a clear shower curtain would help with that. The guides were awesome. It would have been nice to have a more detailed briefing (the night before)on the sights we would see on our rides.

The boat was great, the biking was very enjoyable and the crew, attentive and charming.

A very unique experience. Maybe more like 3 1/2 stars…hopefully the bugs will be worked out.
1. BIKE BOAT TOUR
Unfortunately, it was very clear that not enough preparation was in place for a safe and confident ride.
I will not entirely blame our bike guides, because it appears they had never ridden the course. They had no idea where open washrooms, coffee shops or rest area were located. The GPS was helpful, but not always accurate.
After sustaining a fall, it was also clear that there was nothing in place for first aid, transportation, repairs or Emergency services. It was fortunate to have been able to receive some first aid on the boat, by the crew, not the ‘bike boat staff’. They were very kind, but definitely not confident in their role.
Every night, we received a briefing of the next day sites, but it did not coincide with what we saw the next day (very little) and very vague about any of the surroundings. We turned around alot.
An added note, not all E-bikes are created equal, and their was no tutorial or advice on them. I question whether one of the guides had ever used an E-bike.
I would like to say that, although willing and hardworking, the BIKE BOAT TOUR company let the guides down in preparation for this trip.
It would be advisable to use local guides, perhaps.
2. THE ANTIGUA and CREW
We were very impressed with this amazing group of people! They were always available and ready to help.
They were very informative and interesting, and capable people. One of the crew was instrumental in providing first aid so that I could continue my tour. The CHEF was absolutely amazing…he was able to produce very tasty, healthy and a good variety of meals every day. To be able to please most people, is an immense challenge in a small kitchen and he DID it along with some great help.
Regarding the boat, my only real complaints would be lacking some of our more “creature comforts”, but we were never led to believe it would be more than basic accommodations.
Our room was particularly small, with little to no storage, more hooks would be appreciated. An extra pillow as well.
The sailing was spectacular!

Our two guides (Henk & Ben) were wonderful, funny, caring, attentive, and worked hard every day. They didn’t, however, know the ride paths or any history of the areas we were in. I understand they were last minute replacements so that makes sense. They should be commended for their work. The ship was fine, but not as good as the two previous ships I’ve been on through Boat-Bike. This was supposed to be a “premium” tour (my other two were not), but it was actually less than my previous trips. The crew was nice and hard working, but the cabins were smaller than my previous non-premium tours and the food was no better (and slightly not as good), so I wouldn’t call this trip “premium.” That all said, the biking and sailing were glorious!

A great blend of touring and exercise. I feel like I learned a great deal about the area and had the opportunity to experience it firsthand.
