I recently returned from a boat/bike trip with Boat Bike Tours, that took me through parts of Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. In short, I can say this was an amazing, beautiful experience, and I will definitely look into additional bike trips that Boat Bike Tours offer. However, I feel I need to break it down a little. First, I’m relatively new to biking; casual rides within 2-3 miles to the grocery store, beach, etc. I assure you, the Boat Bike Tours meet many different levels of biking – mostly because these tours are meant to slow you down to take in the beauty of the villages, meadows, forests, and vineyards. Both standard bikes and e-bikes are available to meet your biking level. Second, the itinerary was just what I was looking for. Enough time to ride the trails, stop for pictures or a beer (right on the trails), and time to take in the sights and shop till you drop in Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava. etc. Third, I was pleasantly surprised with the rooms on the boat. They are roomy enough for two (or a single), with a full bathroom and plenty of closet/storage space. Lastly, the food is amazing. Full breakfast buffet, provisions are available to make your lunch to take while biking, and 2-3 different dinner options each day. Everyone on the staff was friendly, focused, and committed to every detail. I cannot recommend Boat Bike Tours enough. Looking into the Amsterdam to Bruges bike tour next!! Enjoy!!

We loved our trip. The cabin was comfortable. The food was terrific. The crew went above and beyond to meet every need. Well planned and executed!

The boat bike trip was so fantastic! The crew was very helpful and nice, the ship was amazing, and the food we were served was absolutely delicious. Overall the days were spent site seeing whilst on bikes or on days off you had the choice to walk through the cities. Our experience was memorable and joyful.

Fantastic time

The entire staff and the ship were wonderful. Every employee was so friendly, kind and helpful The boat itself was well kept up with comfy rooms and wonderful food. The only thing that we did not like (and this was not true for everyone) was the biking. We felt the rides were too long and not very relaxing (lots of bikes and roads with lots of car traffic) Lots of people had accidents and many injured with bruising.

Great experience and adventure! All the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. Cycling along the Danube and through small villages was wonderful. Some of the course directions were difficult to follow or too vague to determine which way to go. We had to ask locals which way to go to access the right pathway. All excursion guides and excursions were fabulous and well worth it. Our only disappointment was the quality of the food. We hoped to enjoy more Austrian style food since we were travelling through Austria. Themed food dinners were a disappointment as they were not authentic. Also felt there should be more breakfast options and selection. Perhaps offer a special breakfast option each day. Overall we really enjoyed the trip and meeting likeminded people while on the ship.

Everything was perfect! The staff was always there for us. Our biking was great. The food was wonderful. Would love to do it again!

The ship Vivienne was amazing . The crew were exceptionally hard working and very friendly The food was 5 star and plentiful. Lesley the tour manager was very helpful and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble for him. The only downside was the e-bikes which were extremely heavy and had been downgraded in tour+ mode so there was no extra power to compensate for the weight. Some of the information regarding parking and boat transfers was wrong, and some information about the ship was incorrect.

Where do I begin to describe this wonderful experience..From the time I arrived to board the boat and bike tour I was met with friendly efficient hosts and hostesses that took care of nearly all my needs..They took my luggage to my room to allow me the pleasure of registering and looking around the boat& The registration was straight forward without any trouble, there was a welcoming afternoon drink/coffee in a very well appointed lounge with an informative welcome/introduction/instructions seminar& The room was large with double beds and a large porthole window, a large complete bathroom on the lowest deck. The boat had just undergone a lovely refit recently with all the trimmings of a classy boat/bike barge& The food was extraordinary in it s variety and content..Utterly no complaints about the food! The dining room staff were also attentive and friendly.. Leslie did a great job in instructing us where to go on our next days bike trip. His many guiding stickers were very helpful! It was nice to be seated with someone from another country, at our table, but someone who spoke our same language. The boat was very comfortable with lots of room to unpack. The entire crew was helpful, friendly and worked tirelessly to give us a great experience.

Everything work excellent

We had a grea time on our Bike Boat cruise. Lovely boat with everything you need, excellent service from great staff. Loved the bike riding and everything is very well organised
