We spent a wonderful week on the Flora on the Friesland tour led by the fantastic team of captain Berthus, chef Jonne and sailor Andy. All worked hard to make our boat bike tour a fabulous experience. The weather was atrocious but nevertheless we loved our holiday in this special region. The imaginative and delicious food prepared by Jonne was a welcome treat after cycling in the wind and the rain. The friendship and camaraderie between guests of different nationalities was very special, aided by the wonderful crew.

Friendly and helpful staff, good organising, food, company, weather, scenery, safe and quiet paths, everything was perfect.

Velosophie – cycle holiday was already for the second time with a groupe of 14 people on the Friesland-Tour on the Lena Maria boat. We have had a very windy week. The crew around the skipper Eelke was very efficient. So the tour was proposed they other way around, so that we could go to the island of Terschelling, which is absolutely worth to go there. Time on the boat, time on the bicycle, with at the end of the day a good meal an a good bed. Thanks a lot for this week. Monique

The fantastic crew and the well-appointed boat, the Lena Maria, made all the difference during a pretty wet week. Routes were reorganised, clothes dried, lots of litte nibbles and other touches and wonderful food.

We didn’t know what to expect. What we had was a great trip to Friesland. Lena Maria had large cabins, where we were very comfortable all week. Up top, places where you can gather for meals, and meet passengers from around the world. The unusual weather (rain) had Captain Eelke adjust to our starting location, and ride maps, daily. The GPS app was accurate and easy. Food was great, and as a vegetarian, it was some of the best I’ve had! Ample snacks and desserts made sure we were ready to go riding, every day. If you’ve never seen a boat, sail through a cornfield, while riding a bike past a windmill, well…. here’s your chance. Thankyou Eelke, Monique, Reuben, and Glenn.

Captain Conny, Chef Eva and their efficient crew were excellent. They ran the most excellent ship, and also were so personable. It was easy to ask for needed items or services; we knew that the ship and kitchen are in expert hands!

Great staff, they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

We loved our Boat Bike Tour around Friesland. The boat was beautiful and our room was perfect. We especially liked having our own bathroom. The food was delicious and plentiful. Our hostess, Monique, was friendly and helpful. Elka was always available to help plan our biking route and did his best to give us the best experience despite the cold, windy weather. We have been to Friesland before but we were able to see so much more when touring by bike (the bikes were very nice too!) We are already planning another boat bike tour!

The length of the biking tours each day was good. Nice variety of countryside and towns. The hosts were very personable and engaged well with all of us. The food, especially the evening dinners were terrific.
