What an amazing trip. It was truly fun, and all of our friends thought so too. Like almost 30 of them. The crew, from captain to chef to our guides, are now friends. They have a place to stay if they ever come to USA.

Loved almost every aspect of our tour; the touring, the routes, the ship, the accommodations, the food, and especially the service. All exceptional. It was better than I expected, and I expected a lot. We’d love to do it again. My only complaint is they did not have an ebike to accommodate my wife’s short legs. She had to ride a kids’ bike with smaller wheels and wider tires, which made it almost impossible for her to keep up with everyone, especially the ebike riders.

Just a tip for you future bookings, I see in your booking that you had booked two normal bikes. I would like to recommend that for a future booking you indicate early that you would like to book eclectic bikes. We find it important that everyone has a suitable bike and therefore we advise our guests to indicate at the time of booking what your height is and whether you want an e-bike or a normal bike. This way we can make a good estimate of what needs to be brought on board that week. It's nice to hear that although there was no suitable e-bike for your wife, you both had a great time on board. The Magnifique III was a very nice boat. The staff were very accomodating. The food was very good. The bikes were in good repair but the daily pace was sometimes grueling with few stops for rest. Lots of farmlands and few other sites of interest while biking. Overall, it was a great way to spend time with family and friends.

It was superb. Fab food, guides, boat. One thing I hated was the lack of independence that goes with biking in a crowd. At times I like to photograph some objects that don’t interest the others. Twice the “sweeper guide” told me to get moving so I don’t hold up the group; I still took my photos but felt rushed and those fotos did not turn out well. Frequently, I yearned to get going while others were still eating lunch. Then when they all were ready to get moving I was feeling like having a nap or rest. On the last day of the cruise I found out I could have ridden more independently! This brings me to another situation; emails from the company went to only some of my group. Despite all that, it was wonderful!

Then you can use digital GPS tracks to find your way to the ship itself. You will then have enough time to do all kinds of things along the way. I would like to see more stops and visits to places. That is really the only issue I had. For example when we finished at the windmills instead of going and doing a windmill tour and having a drink we went to the tours center and we were give 45 minutes on our own to visit the town. All the while we could have stopped sort to the center and actually visited a windmill and toured it. I would love to see 3-5 stops.

From your feedback, I can see that you would like a bit more independency during your tour. We can recommend you to look at our semi guided tours for the next time, should you book another Boat Bike tour with us. During these semi guided tours you will receive a daily briefing from the tour leader. But you cycle on your own, make stops where and when you wish. You cycle with the help of a detailed cycling map, a written route description and GPX-files or the free Boat Bike Tours version of the ‘Ride With GPS’ app for your mobile phone.
