Our boat/bike tour was excellent from the moment we came aboard. The crew welcomed us warmly, checked us in quickly and made us feel at home. This set the tone for the entire trip. Each staff member made us feel special as they did their jobs with pride and enthusiasm. The stateroom was comfy and cleaned daily. The meals couldn’t have been more delicious. The cycling tours were fun and interesting with expert guidance. Everyone had a ball! Nightly briefings kept us well prepared and excited for the day ahead. Evenings on board were terrific as our group consisted of family and friends we hadn’t seen since our last boat bike tour from Passau to Budapest. Superior service beginning to end. Thank you!

We enjoyed a wonderful week biking from Bruges to Amsterdam with a group of 14 friends. This was a long awaited adventure as we originally were to take this trip in 2020. We hit the season perfectly (end of April/beginning of May) as trees were in full bloom as were the lilacs, wisteria, rhododendron… the countryside was spectacular. Our guides, Arnold and Marie Jose were excellent. Knowledgeable and great communicators, they shared history and interesting facts all along the journey. They cared for our safety at all times. The food onboard was delicious although breakfast was repetitive. Initially they assigned seating (not entirely sure why) but as a group we wanted to sit together so took that on ourselves. Not sure if that was appreciated. The cabins on the boat were compact and cleaned daily. The bikes were in good repair and if there was an issue it was attended to promptly by a team member. It would have been helpful for them to take a bit more time on the first day to adjust the bikes to the participants to be sure everyone was comfortable and ready. All in all a wonderful, memorable trip. Would highly recommend it. We were so glad to be able to do it after waiting two years!!

Bruge to Amsterdam was a terrific trip with very scenic rides through the countryside of Belgium and Netherlands. Great trip and also boat/people/food!

We had a fabulous time and met some amazing people! The crew were great and we would do it again!

The first leg of our trip was aboard the Magnifique IV for 8 days and it was marvelous. The ship, furnishings and bikes were in great shape, and the crew, guides and scenery were second to none. Plenty of good food and drink, for any waistline. Thanks so much for reorganizing this trip as many times as you did, to make it happen in these unsettled times.

Boat bike tours staff were very accommodating during (re) booking and during the trip itself. Jens did a great job of supporting the tour. The route and city tours were great, and the cycling was wonderful. The ship (de Amsterdam) was not well cleaned. Our carpet needed more thorough vacuuming, and we had to have our bedsheets changed as they smelled unclean. The bikes were fine, but had suffered some damage from over cranking of bolts and use of pliers to tighten and loosen, especially on the seat and handle bars. The boat staff made a poor first impression by trying to sell us bike insurance immediately upon boarding, and they were not always helpful in solving bike problems. The food ranged from really good (goulash, fish and roast beef) to terrible (wieners and frozen hash browns as the only hot breakfast on one day). The breakfast fruit was usually a bowl of melon with a few pieces of pineapple and would have been much better with some bananas and berries. We would definitely choose to go with Boat bike tours again, but not on this boat.

Excellent Tour. Despite re-scheduling due to Covid, the tour ran smoothly. We had wonderful weather which helped. Great food, accommodation and excellent tour guides who went out of their way to be helpful.

It was our first experience and loved the formula of a boat and bike tour! What made this special is the staff! The itinerary had to be modified because of a strike by the employees manning the locks but it worked out. Our guides Anneke and Fred were fantastic (even though folks who opted for e-bikes got a bit of flack from Fred…but it was all in good fun). Everyone on board works so hard, performing many different tasks, to ensure everyone has a great experience! The barge is very new, so clean, well decorated and is equipped with everything you need.. The beds are a bit small, my husband is tall so his feet hanged at the foot of the bed so not that comfortable for him. Lots of storage and a large shower in the bedroom! Not rating it a 5 because of the meals. Breakfasts are repetitive (plain yogurt, fruits and pastries, accompanied by 1 egg and we were given a bit of luncheon meats and cheese every morning for us to pack our own lunches for the day (which was a bit of a surprise). Also, we would have appreciated having a choice of meals for dinner (perhaps provide two choices). The bike routes selected by the guides were awesome; you get to see a lot and we appreciated not having to worry about where we were going or missing out on something….we just had to cycle and enjoy the scenery! We were a group of 6 and we all would highly recommend this type of holiday to friends and family, with the company Boat Bike Tours! We’re already planning our next one :)
