The best part of the trip is the hospitality, service, and attention to detail of the Zwaantje Captain and Crew and the Tour Guides. All are seasoned professionals and experts in their respective fields.

This tour was made great by the staff on board our boat and the fabulous guides that worked so hard to make our trip a success. The boat is small but intimate vs cramped. The captain, Martin, was experienced, fun and accommodating. The chef, Frank, was fabulous and made a special effort to prepare a great dessert plate to help celebrate my birthday, which I really appreciated. The guides went above and beyond, especially Thomas, and made us all feel comfortable.

We had a fabulous experience! Wonderful ship, fantastic meals, knowledgeable, friendly staff, great experience everywhere we went.

Well organized tour, very nice rides through country side. Bikes were comfortable and we’ll prepared. Boat was clean, comfortable and food delicious. All crew members worked together sharing their duties.

What a great way to see the NL/Belguim country side and a handful of cities and towns. There was a great balance of riding and touring. The food was also excellent and the tour giudes were bang on.

The staff and the accommodations made the experience memorable and special. The biking was great too.

All the staff (crew and guides) were exceptional. They got to know us right away, and were always friendly, helpful and good-humoured. With the small number of passengers it felt like one big family. The food was great, and plentiful. The chef even catered to our special request for no peppers. The guided bike rides were a bit challenging (in length), but so much fun. And it was perfectly acceptable to just stay on board if anyone didn’t feel like cycling. What a great holiday!

Fluvius boat Bruges to Amsterdam. Communication leading up to the tour was very good. Check in was quite easy but a small delay due to cabin readiness happened. Dinners were first class food, breakfast was just basic as was provisions for packed lunches. The boat staff was friendly and effective. The tour staff were also friendly and informative. Do better: roughly 2/3 of passengers developed intestinal issues that lingered from day 2 to the end. More could have been done to inform passengers and take precautions. Perhaps water brought in if water was the issue? It’s unclear but disturbing. Our cabin had many unresolved issues. Two days of riding had rain so coming back and hanging up clothes near the heater in the cabin would have been nice. But we had no heat. The technician worked on it for 10 minutes then gave up. Not good. Our bathroom door never was closable for the whole trip. It never latched. And the shower head was hand held only as the clip was missing. Lastly, the smell of raw sewage in the morning from somewhere was tough to handle. Lots of issues in our room that I haven’t mentioned. The rooms smell musty, and they need a lot of work. Just being honest…

We have just finished a bike an barge from Amsterdam to Brugge and it was fabulous!! The ship was beautifully maintained and a great size for the 38 guests on board. The food was delicious, varied, top quality and plentiful. What the chef managed to serve up from a small kitchen was a real credit to him. The 2 guides, Hesta and Esta were terrific, their knowledge and personalities made the days cycling, even in rain, fun. The wait staff were very attentive and friendly and always eager to help. The whole experience was very well managed, I would highly recommend this trip, they are a very slick team. This is a truly awesome way to see stunning the scenery of Holland and Belguim. Well done for helping us create some beautiful memories that we will treasure forever.
