We absolutely loved our guide, Hugo, on our Boat and Bike Tour in Italy!! He was SO passionate and taught us about so many interesting things and places and yet didn’t bore us with too much information!! He even took pictures and videos and treated us to a movie of our day and then put them together as a gift to us! The other crew members were excellent especially our Chef, Sylvia!! What fabulous food she created for us every day! We loved all the interesting towns we stopped at and going to the Murano Glass Factory, The Cheese Factory Tour and the Carnival Ride Museum which were all very special! The only thing I would say needs improving is the barge itself. It was very old and the bathroom toilet was elevated. Luckily we were not in our cabin much and the crew and the passengers made up for that!! What a wonderful time we had!! We have been on 4 bicycle barge trips and this one was by far our favorite!! I would like to request Hugo as our guide again, what a positive and talented man he is! You are very lucky to have him! Sincerely, Cathy Sevel

The staff were absolutely great. The guides were very knowledgeable, professional and helpful, but also friendly and full of fun. The food was delicious and the chefs did a great job of introducing us to local cuisine. The boat was professionally operated. The staff worked very well together and tried very hard to meet everyones needs. The trip was good value, the boat was comfortable and service very good. What was promised was delivered, no complaints. Saw alot, did a lot, would definitely recommend.

I enjoyed the combination of biking and good food. The hosts were fantastic!! I can recommend this trip to anyone.

The Staff and their dedication to Excellence in all aspects of the delivery of their services. What a great team. As the experience unfolded, and adjustments to plan where required, the team’s ability to sustain attention to the best interest of the guests and the quality of the experience was simply brilliant. Well done all.

Quality of the guides was excellent, food was fantastic, and all staff were friendly. 33 cyclists strung out over a long distance was challenging at times but the guides did their best to manage it all.

Our guide, Irena made this tour fun, extremely enjoyable, and safe. The rest of the crew, Ricardo, Sylvia, and Irena also made it very enjoyable. The meals were yummy. I might add all the crew were funny, entertaining.

What a great tour. Irene was an absolutely awesome guide. The crew was fantastic, as was the food. We had a wonderful group of fellow travelers. We would have liked more time in the saddle, but overall, it was excellent!

We have just returned from the Ave Maria trip-Mantova to Venice.We recommend this trip because of the great e-bikes, food, cabin,boat and exceptional crew who were always accomodating and multi tasking. The boat is spacious to hold 40 passengers and has a comfortable upper deck and main dinning room below.Cabins have nice linens and enough storage space especially in the upper cabins where we were. The route started in Mantova with a tour of this beautiful medieval city then took us through farmland and villages. A tour of fair ground artifacts and then a cheese factory- was great. We arrived in Venice to a glass factory on Murano and then the boat was moored pretty close to the centre of Venice. The guides were able to help us get vaporetto tickets and to start to get to know Venice which seemed quite overwhelming at first but all that help was terrific. Super trip.

Thé 2 guides Francesco and Elle were fantastic. We had a day of rain and they came up with a plan to shorten the morning ride which was perfect as the sun came out in the afternoon The food was amazing. Gourmet every night without fail. My husband is lactose intolerant and he was very well taken care of. Almost spoilt in a way.

Everything about this trip was wonderful. The staff was exceptional, the food spectacular, the bikes comfy and well mantained, and the cabins slightly better than expected. Georgio is an absolute delight – such an interesting guide and took great care and interest in everyone. Sylvia’s cooking is over the top. Thank you for a lovely trip!
