Our week in Croatia on the Romantica was fabulous! The tour guides were warm and welcoming, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and adapted our cycling route as needed when weather prevented us from visiting the last scheduled island. The Romantica is a comfortable, well-maintained boat that provided workable sleeping and storage accomodations (we had a twin room below deck). The food was fresh with an enjoyable variety of meals and breakfast items. The Romantica crew was incredible and hard-working! Teamwork is evident in everything that happens on the boat, and the crew responded to requests always with a smile. A couple thoughts for consideration: – Other boat/bike trips have provided small snacks/appetizers on the boat at the end of the cycling day (prior to dinner). This would be ideal on the Romantica as well, especially when dinner was not served until 19:30H. – The extra charges for bottled water, and the city tax. I would prefer to have these included as part of the trip payment, and not added on as cash payment on the boat. It feels like we had paid for the trip, but then kept paying for each smaller expense. Perhaps a small point – but maybe worth consideration. – The lines/cords for hanging wet clothes are fantastic!! Thank you Romantica and Boat Bike Tours! It was a great week!

Very organized, solid vessel, nice accommodations, good food, good service, good bikes, and I really liked the cycling guides: Carla, Corin and Rico. I benefited from a cruise that was about 1/2 full, which I’m sure enhanced the quickness of the meal service.

Our tour guide Mikela, was exceptional but I think the group could have used a sweep because of the various abilities in the group and some of the challenging terrain (5 kil of extreme mud, broken bike pedal, to name a few.) 2 of our guests took on that role which helped. The staff on the boat also exceptional, friendly, accommodating and kept things running smoothly. The accommodations were extremely cramped/crowded not just the rooms but also the dining tables. You could not get in our out of your seat easily as the space was so tight. One recommendation for the rooms would be to add several hooks to hang things on in order to free up some floor space since there was so little floor space. Also not sure this is possible but could screens be added to the windows to help keep mosquitoes and flies out? We had no A/C the first two nights and it was needed but opening our window brought in mosquitoes. All in all we still had a great time, a lot of fun but I d never stay on the caprice again. Thank you for a great vacation. The staff, tour guide and all the guests on our boat made it a wonderful experience. Karen.

We had a wonderful week cycling Croatia. Our guides were AMAZING and the tour was truly fantastic!! Thanks for a great trip!

Ship: Leafde Fan Fryslan (4 mast schooner) Premium guided biking; Island hopping North Netherlands; May 2025 Our two guides Wilma and Hans were excellent. Choosing a guided bike experience took out the GPS reading option and provided for a more knowledgeable experience. The Bosch E-bike was super easy to use (never used an E-bike and was a bit worried) and useful when the winds blew in the afternoon. The crew of 7 worked non-stop to ensure guests were looked after. Incredibly, it was the first time the entire team had worked together and the next week, it would be another team onboard. Coffee and tea were free all day. The bar prices were very fare (L18 for a wine bottle and L4 for a glass of beer). The hot tub is broken and the spare part from the USA will be a long time coming. Check before you pack a swimsuit! The only complaint I have is 4-mast schooner and there were days when the sails did not go up due to sand bars, tides and docking positions. On the days when winds were favourable, 2 sails up and motor running. This was a disappointment for me, as I expected active sailing on this ship. Only one sailor and help from the guests (not lacking). If there was 2 or 3 sailors and help from the guests, perhaps more sails could be put up.

Loved the bikes and bike guides. Would have liked a bit more information on the area, traditions etc.

The staff was accommodating. This was our first experience and we had a great time. We re not sure what we were getting into but enjoyed the experience immensely. I think I will do it again!!

Loved everything about this boat bike tour – the first we have ever done. It was well organised, the guides were informative, the staff helpful and the food amazing. The bike paths were well selected, and each day the scenery was different from the last. Would definitely do another tour

The concept is great Bikeboat needs to take the edge off several things. One is the lack of details in the day to day operation and safety on the vessel. Directions given by the tour guide were incomplete and outright confusing. Operation of the e-bikes was not done well- an overview of the bikes in detail would have helped. Having said that the gentlemen who handled the bikes were outstanding. Coffee and tea should be available all day in lieu of charging. Some attempt might be made to dine in the selection of food in the current country eg in Hungary & Hungarian food. If you aspire to be successful in a competitive market you may have to take a good hard look at your business model. The boat Princess Katherine was excellent..very comfortable!

The boat was very comfortable and clean, and the crew and the food were excellent. Our daily bike trips had 2 outstanding guides who took very good care of us on and off the boat as well. We had so much fun, it was lovely riding. We plan to do another trip with BoatBike as soon as we can.

Yet another fantastic cycling trip, this time from Maastricht to Amsterdam. The crew of the boat could not have been more welcoming and professional, and the vegetarian meal options were delicious.
